This is incredible. And I agree this is different than anything we've heard from her before. Closest is My Funny Valentine, but this is even sultrier, and riskier. And those almost scatlike falsettos! PLUS this feels like a different emotional interpretation than the others....could be Sad Valentine, vs the bad girl attitude of the pop version. I really think she and Toby push each other to new heights and even more so will in the future.

I agree with every comment Tee. The scat and the falsettos and transitions are like I have never heard before from AJ. We all knew she had it in her but I think Toby is helping her to find her sound. We anticipated that the collaborating with him would be a big deal for her and I think we are seeing the results already. This version of the song has been tracking in the top 10 to 15 on iTunes top 100 jazz songs! That is impressive! See you soon.

Tee, this was 'out of this world'. Her finest performance ever to this point. I love your reactions to our reigning JAZZ QUEEN! I was waiting for you to hear the scat! I love it and love your reaction when you heard it! From the scat on she threw restraint out the window and went full blast great jazz the rest of the song! I grew up in the 1940s and 50s with Jazz virtually every day! And even played drums in a jazz band in hi-school! She did things in this that I have never heard her do before and have not heard anyone else in the jazz genre do in the last 50 years or more! The first time I heard Angelina was over ten years ago when her audition of Gloomy Sunday went viral! I said then she was going to be the best jazz singer since the 1960s, AND SHE IS! I have had this on replay since I first heard it two nights ago!

Hi Tee! This version took off a lot more quicker than anyone could have imagined. This song version is a total surprise. It's smoky, sultry, and jazzy. This is easily in Angelina's wheelhouse as she goes back to her jazz roots and kills this song. This version actually hit the iTunes Top 100 Jazz songs and peaked at #7. It dropped to #16 thanks to Lady Gaga release of her new jazz album which is also tied to the new Joker movie that she is in. However, it moved back up to #12 before the weekend, so Bad Valentine is showing some fight and could have the staying power to stay high on this list for a long time!
