It’s amazing how each version can have a completely different feel. I love both released versions. Many fans in the comments praise this version and say it’s their favorite. That being said I am reallly perplexed by the relatively low number of views. Less than 30k in over 2 weeks. The pop version has over 200k views in about a month. I guess because it has a video?

This is the true essence of Angelina bringing in her absolute jazz vocal delivery ! It's who she is and jazz is certainly embedded in her DNA ! She just needs a piano and her voice ! I love this rendtion of the song. It changes the feeling completely. In the sassy versions you get the feeling that the girl is just kind of a brat. Spoiled, not really caring much if she hurts the guy. In this version, it's more introspective. There's a wistful quality to it. It's as if the girl really wanted it to work, but that she saw the problems, not only in the relationship, but in herself, "right from the start," and feels powerless to change them. Angelina's ability to change how her music will affect her audience by the way she sings a song is simply amazing.

Wonderful reaction, thank you Jesse. Angelina has literally shocked me, I love her voice and I'm more and more in awe of her unstoppable musical evolution, I would never have expected that at her age she had already reached such a stratospheric level of vocal perfection. This is truly a beautiful song perfectly arranged for her voices (so many!), both in the first blues version and in this later jazz version, but what she creates in this melancholic and sad version is indescribable and absolutely astonishing, also for the apparent ease with which she does it, in reality the instrumental accompaniment is little more than a simple pleasant decoration, her voice alone is enough to reproduce the emotional effect of a whole orchestra. She is a truly eclectic and extraordinary artist, I understand well why Toby is enraptured by her talent, being able to collaborate with a singer like her leaves a boundless space for musical imagination, you probably can't even imagine what vocal wonders she can create. It's not just you, I think you've described the change in mood and meaning very well. She knew exactly how to use negative space from a very early age, at least since she was 10yo. I remember a rehearsal for "Crazy" where she was trying very hard to explain it to her pianist (it seems like most of these guys like to keep it flowing all the time and don't like negative space much). But with Toby on keys you don't have that problem and the sparing addition of strings rounds it out beautifully.

The mood in this version is just as you identified it. Dark and apologetic, but without remorse. Angelina has the wonderful skill to walk the fine line between almost contradictory emotions. Beautifully genius. There really is no one like her. Sometimes I listen to the same song four or five times in a row and then want to do it again.

This has already reached #11 on the I-Tunes chart. If you love it go stream it. She said she has already started writing her Grammy speech she said. I totally approve of this version. It's that, ''bump-bump in da' club" Pop tune that annoys me. This is a Blues/Jazz song as it was written and it's like they just tacked on a beat package and turned the song into a gaudy and cheapened mess. So that was my totally unbiased assessment of the three versions I've heard so far. Angelina shouldn't have to compete with a beat package. She is one of two young singers I have heard, the other being Daneliya Tuleshova from Kazakhstan, who can carry a song just by the sheer force or weight of their voice. I know with voices like theirs they almost demand exploration, but I mean if the add-on sounds like it doesn't belong get rid of it. Anyway, that's my idea about it.

I can't even look at her anymore, she went and got new teeth...!!! She doesn't even talk the same, it changed her whole look. i heat it...!! What the hell was she thinking? Hollywood did it again...!!! It makes me sick....!!! She had such a unique smile that was all hers, now it's gone..!! Dammit....!!!
