Mr. J, does it break your brain that a couple of months before this concert, Angelina was finishing the 5th grade at her Elementary School in Oslo. Then she skipped the 6th grade & moved to LA with her family.

I was listening to a seasoned performer singing this song only this afternoon. It sounded great. Then I listened to this again and there is simply no contest. I'm not sure why, but Angelina wins hands down. There's a reality about her singing which grown-up professionals just don't have.

This is such a wonderful performance with her and a small band. Angelina made such a great personal arrangement of this epic song. The trombone solo is great as well! Watching it is soul food and much better than watching crappy TV stuff and facing bad weather.

Great reaction Mr.J...my brain broke a long long time ago listening to this young music genius, but you actually get used to it after a while and no longer look at Angelina as a child or young person, simply a music professional going back to 7-8 years old and beyond, it is kind of uncanny but our eyes and ears cannot deceive us.. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Hi Mr J 👋. Nice reaction to 11 Angie. She is sublime. She also sang " Diamonds are forever" a James Bond theme at that concert when she was 11. Here's another amazing song she did and she down into the 2nd octave. "You make me feel so young " she was 13 here covering this Frank Sinatra song 🎵 and she did it in a type of duet style were she sings both male and female parts. 🙂👍❤🙏

This song is a jazz classic that has been covered by all the greats. It's really hard to understand how it could be that one of the very greatest performances was by an 11 year old girl.

Great reaction again 🙂 Yes, Angelina is always good, but sometimes she's able to turn the nob up another level, which is crazy. This very concert when she was 11 years old is one of those examples. She was on total 🔥🔥🔥 throughout. "Lovin' You" is still lacking its equal as far as I am concerned. Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

Julie London is considered to have made 'The gold Standard' rendition of this song back in 1955. To me, Angelina's version is 'The Platinum Standard' !

The small jazz band backs her up perfectly here, it's such a smooth performance. The other one with the orchestra you linked is very different, more power and Angelina and orchestra work incredibly well together. Here you can see again that it's always worth watching a second or third performance, even if you think - she's already sung that.

I’ve noticed her non-singing behavior also. And her return to childhood. I get the feeling that when she’s not singing she’s not exactly sure what to do with herself. Like she’s thinking ‘well, you came to watch me sing, and I’m not singing what should I be doing?’ Especially when she was younger. Now that she’s getting a little older it’s not so pronounced.

Regarding the sound balance: No professional cameras were allowed during this concert. You can see some men filming, they probably had permission to film professionally. What we see is filmed with a cell phone. I have heard from some who were there that all the audio for the audience was excellent.

When you listen to this with your eyes closed, the absolute last thing your mind pictures is an 11 year old girl. You’re more likely taken to a smoke filled jazz club where this little wizard has transported you with her magical vocal skills. When she performed “My Funny Valentine” last Valentines Day as a sixteen year old, instead of watching the video, I closed my eyes and felt like I was in a piano bar in the 1940’s! Angelina has always had the ability to interpret and sing a song the way it was intended, no matter her age! She sang this song (My Funny Valentine) in a very sensual and sultry way and I believe that’s the reason she’s not shown singing it live in the video. That’s just my opinion, so please, no backlash!
