Great reaction Mr.J....you felt that one for sure. Keep them coming. Until they come up with a new Dictionary for Angelina, no worries.....had to watch this twice since your reaction was so great to see. As you can see, Angelina is always surrounded by top notch musicians as well, these guys have played many a concert with Angelina and I am quite sure it is an honor to play with this young lady.

The song „I Just Want to Make Love to You” is a 1954 blues song written by Willie Dixon, first recorded by Muddy Waters, and released as "Just Make Love to Me". The song reached number four on Billboard magazine's R&B Best Sellers chart. In 1960, Etta James recorded the song for her debut album At Last!. Her rendition also served as the B-side to her hit of that name. In 1996, it was released as a single in the UK and other European markets after being featured in a Diet Coke advertising campaign. Angelina performs this song in Etta's James version

One of my favorites! Angelina rides the jazz wave like the pro she is and then lets the dogs out! It is truly a treat and a performance that already (at 11yo) separates her from many in the industry who are much older and more established than she. But, Angelina is coming people..be ready if you can!

AJ goes full Viking mode, lol. Every song from this concert was great. She toured with this band for several concerts and they were her band for the "Feeling Good" TV performance where you could see how good this lineup sounded with professional sound. I wish they would have recorded this and put out an album of this concert. Still the videos we have sound great. This was the same lineup in her music video " When Your Smiling".

The whole sets swings and they all seem to be very talented. Angelina saunters on stage casually and totally owns the stage and the song. Angelina changed the lyrics a little so that it fits her better: in stead of ‘wanting to make love to you’ she sang ‘I just wanna love you‘ I think that is great: an 11 year old singing the original lyrics would be a little strange :-)

Words can not describe how excited I got when I saw that you had reacted to this performance. Because what she did at age 11 here is just completely out of this world. You're not supposed to be able to sing like that at that age. Period. And her timing on top of that. Her pitch. Her breath control. Her everything. You name it, she's got it. And she did it. It’s so hard to pick favorite Angelina songs, but this has to be near the top of my cloud of favorites. When you watch this, you feel that even though Angelina can sing anything, she’s had jazz in her bones from the very earliest. As you watch her sing the same songs at different ages, you know you’re hearing jazz as it should be-extemporaneous-with Angelina singing it differently depending on her mood, her age, the way the musicians are playing. You can see all throughout this concert that the band is so happy to be backing Angelina. Great music, incredible energy and vocals, perfectly blended. And this was with a fan cam. If this was properly recorded and mixed, I guess it would be better, but this is just raw and fabulous.

Where does a little girl like Angelina get that big sassy growl? When you hear the band warming up before she comes on stage you know these guys are a serious band. So how does this little barefooted kid come out and stand and deliver like that? And it looks like she isn't even breaking a sweat. Frikkin' insane. And it's live to boot! And another thing, when she hits those notes the band basically sits out and she's singing those parts voice only. Talk about your voice being in the spotlight. There is no room for error at those points. It's like walking a tightrope without a net!

Yeah I don't know how it took me so long to find "It's a man's world', never mind how long it took me to see this. Good lord. You know she's versatile, you know she's powerful, then you see some true bluesy soul high power belts at 11 and 12 live with massive brass bands and yeah, crazy. It never ends, she's phenomenal at so much. You end up under the impression she'll be Ella Fitzgerald by 20, Celine Dion by 20, Whitney Houston by 20, Mariah Carey by 20, Patsy Kline by 20, Christina Aguillera by 20, Adele by 20, Etta James by 20. She was already Billie Holiday. We're talking about their strengths yet. Which is absolutely stupidly impossibly Impressive. Live, studio, any accompaniment, any genre. There is greatness, there is versatility, and then there is whatever the heck she is. I think she's 11 here, and the chorus with more belting and grit still had the ups and downs, flow and riffs controlled masterfully.

I am glad you reacted to this version and not the shortened version where the musician solos at the beginning were cut out. It loses a lot in my opinion. At least some of the musicians I recognize from I Feel Good on the Stream Gir Tilbake. Many wonderful versions of this song over the years. This is my favorite. The gritty belts cut right through me.
