The genius in this production technique is that it emulates the video Bruce Springsteen created which was an Academy award winner for his song 'Streets of Philadelphia' where he is simply singing as he walks through the city streets of Philadelphia. Bruce sang it in monotone style, whereas Angelina injects her power at intervals in her performance which does add much more than Bruce's performance.

Both covers of this by Angelina are glorious but I prefer the stripped down version Piano Diaries. That version lets her voice absolutely shine. Thanks to Toby for asking her to sing this cover of his song for his Piano Diaries album. Toby is quoted saying, “Working with Angelina has been nothing short of inspiring. This video ended at Brick Lane and Chesire in London a few kilometers from the Tower bridge. I am 81 years (young) and living in Central Texas. For me this is very picturesque and interesting. And this version of the song is the most upbeat of the several versions Angelina and Toby have performed. The others are slower and more soulful, and each has its charm. FYI, this version is the exact same speed as the version filmed in the church as it uses the exact same vocal track. It just seems faster because of the different instrumentation.used and the fact that Angelina is continuously walking in the video. If you time both versions from beginning of singing to the end they are exactly the same time wise. Now the other actual live performances may be at different speeds including the “a cappella” version.that was recently released.
