If you get a chance watch her version of Ella Fitzgerald's hit "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye". I was lucky enough to see Ella sing it live at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club way back in the sixties so when I saw Angelina sing I had tears in my eyes. This girl is the future of jazz.

There's another clip of Angelina singing Summertime backed by a full orchestra, playing pretty much a carbon copy of the arrangement Sarah Vaughn used, but Angelina has found her own voice. I've always loved this song. It has a deceptively simply melody, yet it's actually quite difficult to sing, but Angelina knocks it out of the park.

Notice the quick look she shoots over at the band a 1:48. I think she was expecting to hear a note there that didn't come. I think that even at that young age she was right on top of it. Could be that was where the trumpet was supposed to have come in for his first emphasis note. Then again, maybe she was just making sure he was ready. Love your reactions to this future superstar.

notice the ''2'' on the screen, on many you have already reacted to. that is the Norway TV2 station production. usually the video and audio are very good. so make sure you find all of those , especially in the early years. ... in this performance is the most amazing vibrato i have ever heard. she has backed off in recent years from her wide slow jazz vibrato and her long sustain. some people thought it was odd. not jazz fans obviously.
