Angelina had me in tears again. That was the most incredible singing performance I have ever heard from a small child. It was nearly incomprehensible in that hearing a seven year old child accurately interpret the lyrics while mimicking Billy Holliday’s singing style was jaw dropping. Angelina has no equal.

We have since learned from Angelina that if it wasn't for her unconditional love for Billie Holiday there would not be the Angelina Jordan we know today. Judge Lisa nailed it, Angelina Jordan Astar IS music.

(PS) Hi again Sandy. (What Angie said about “Gloomy Sunday” choice) “The reason reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but “Gloomy Sunday “ was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad, where I wanted to listen to jazz on KZbin before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song “Gloomy Sunday” that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song.” (Sara, Angie's mom was asked what she thought when she saw her on the screen backstage, (she was wiping her tears when watching) I knew I had just lost my little girl to the world ) The family has always been very close & since that even more protective of her from the entertainment industry’s vultures & hyena's. The 2nd song "I'm a fool to want you" She's 7 turning 8 NGT quarter finals & the Judges cut.

Hi Sandy, she has a gift that defies explanation and logic. First, just the technical aspect of singing a song like 'Gloomy Sunday' staying in tune, keeping the beat straight, the sliding into and out of notes are difficult for an adult that has been singing for years. Then there is the 'emotional transport' the ability to convey the heart of the song so that it rings true from the singer's mouth to the listener's ear. I have only heard one other young singer be able to do that, Daneliya Tuleshova. Both of these young artists, and that is exactly what they are, have God's touch on them. Anyway back to Angelina, I will finish this after you listen to the first song she did. She actually did this first. The first time I saw this I was in tears after 5 notes. I have always had an ear for singers, even though I possess no talent of my own, I was always able to hear and pick which new singers had that spark. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I had no one to talk to about it, since it was the middle of the night and I was going through one of my insomnia and pain nights, long story not worth the telling, I just happened to running through the Voice Around the World 10 best singers, when I saw a picture of Angelina and that wonderful hair of hers. I thought I would see what the deal was, and I haven't been the same since. I think it about a week or so later that I stumbled across Daneliya. Anyway, because I have no friends, I started watching reaction videos. I wanted to see how others responded. I soon learned there were good ones like yourself, that listened the responded. Then there are the ones that have fallen in love with sound of their own voice. You are one 5-6 that I come back to and see what's up. You are correct. It should not be possible. But God likes to surprise us that way. Since I don't seem to be able to shut up, I want to tell you how I see singers. You and the judges have both said it, that what she has you are born with it. I have found that for me there are two types, maybe three, of singers. First there are born singers. They are not only good, but are compelled internally to sing. They are usually easy to spot, first by the quality and strength of their voice and then because they are always singing something. A lot of times they are unaware that they are singing. Having this gift does not assure that they will be discovered. Some have the gift but cannot break out of their shyness, or lack of self-confidence to put themselves out there. Another trait of this first group, they become something else when the music starts. Their demeanor changes they have left the rest of us behind and have entered an alternate, but shared, reality. Like in the movie the Fifth Element, at the end when she seems hopeless and over-matched, then, boom the music starts and the energy of the universe coalesce's around and in them and out comes God. The second group are people who can sing, some even close to the first group but you can tell. A lot of these will have careers in music, but you know and even they know they're not part of the first group. Like Mozart and Salieri from 'Amadeus'. Then there is the third group, schlubs like me, who possess neither the 'touch' nor the talent of either of the first 2 groups. Although even here there is a scale from the tone deaf to those who know good, or even great but cannot produce anything resembling music. My own voice has been said to sound like 'duck farts on a hot, muggy day.' Well "that's all I have to say about that". Sorry I rambled. I promise future remarks will be kept within acceptable limits.

This probably the hundredth time I have watched these two songs and my reaction is the same as every other time, I am in tears. Some people get goosebumps or chills, I cry. It is the only response I have when confronted with musical genius. I have watched most of Angelina's videos, how fortunate are we to be alive when this is possible, and have left me in wonder of this beautiful child. The acapella version we just watched is impossible for a 7 yr. old. It is a hard song for an adult singer with years of training to do. And to do it with out a hint of losing either the timing or the pitch. She didn't even come close to losing her hold on this song. What has followed, and the journey you are about to have, has been an amazing ride through the growth of this musical prodigy. Happy Trails Smylyface you are going to enjoy yourself!! P.S. Between Angelina and Daneliya I am pretty much a sobbing mess. I think by this time you have heard Daneliya. If not buckle up, 'cause between the two of them you have got an E ticket. (Disney reference.)

On he interview on The View she was asked when she started singing.. She said she was very young 1.5 years. Then what she sang first, She said she started with Jazz. Jazz! On another interview she is asked what is happening when she sings.. She said she goes to another world, it is endless, it is happiness. I was concerned she would have a melancholic personality to sing jazz. I was floored when she said happy place. I like Jung's ideas, writings, bios. But I wonder, do you think she goes to the collective unconscious where she encounters happy Amy Winehouse, Patsy Cline, Billie Holliday, etc? That maybe in life it was sad but now they hear the beauty.

I think her to she found Frank Sinatra Billie holiday Nina Simone even back to Betsy Smith years ago. She’s a blue Sanger going to Washington Minneapolis, so she understood them cause she walked them on KZbin. We had KZbin grandma her grandmother is from Randy but she’s a jazz fanatic. She’s also a painter artist that painted the famous artist and a psychologist. Age of foreshadow TV show radio show and Save A six and seven she decided she like painting and poetry. Angelina doesn't wear shoes when she performs because as a very young child she saw a street girl with no shoes. She gave her, her own shoes and made a vow to herself that she would sing without shoes to remind herself to stay humble and help others. .

As she left the little beggar, the beggar said that she will pray for Angelina. I watched this many times in 2014 and I am so glad you put this up and reacted to it. As shows where her heart is and that i real singing and old style but her own way in many songs. It was sad these kinds of singing were left behind but because of Her mother allowing Angelina to do this just like four other young singers many styles of real singing are there to hear again. Please watch the next rounds and winning song it will make you think of how far she can go with music. Too many singers sing like Beyonce Celine Whitney and so on. Amy Winehouse and Jessie J did start to change that. but people went straight backwards to the others very strange. But now with luck game changers with Angelina will change this.

I saw in an interview with Angelina and her mother (and I hope I have all the facts correct, I wanted to link the video of the interview but I can't seem to find it), her mother was saying something about Angelina falling in love with jazz after hearing it at her grandmother's house. She said that Angelina started going on KZbin to look up jazz singers and that's how she discovered Billie Holiday. Her mom said that Angelina was so captivated by Billie Holiday's voice that she eventually had to slow her down from spending hours upon hours listening to and practicing Billie's songs, trying to perfect Billie's sound.

I am absolutely convinced that Angelina is one of those rare people that are born endowed by God to do what they are meant to do. These people have the ability to know intuitively and instinctively what they want to do before they even have the ability to speak the language. When these supremely gifted singers and musicians perform they have the unique ability to get their minds to travel to a different plane of existence. Angelina has the ability to tap into and channel music that is out there in the universe. It would not surprise me if she is guided by those singers and musicians that came before her and whom passed on. There is one other divinely gifted musical artist that I believed was capable of doing what Angelina seems to be able to do and that person was, Stevie Ray Vaughn.
