It's okay to bounce all over when you play something she sings. The sound of her voice will vary according to her age and the tempo of the song will vary but one thing is constant throughout, the soulfulness of her voice and when we listen to her sing the love in her heart touches ours. She is a very special young lady and there are still many people around the world who haven't discovered her yet. When she is finally marketed to the world (by Republic Records) oh my goodness, hold onto your hat because her popularity will skyrocket to a level reserved for only a few.

Over a year ago, Angelina's team sent a message to her fan clubs saying they believed reaction videos were hurting her analytics on KZbin. There is some truth to that, since if her angels (fans) are watching reactions, they can't be watching her original videos as often. We enjoy reaction videos and know they introduce some new people to the artist. We came up with an idea to make it a win-win-win. We began suggesting reaction channels provide links to the original video and the artists KZbin channel in the description AND encourage viewers to use those links to watch, like, share and comment on the original video. We have learned, through comments, a vast majority of viewers have no idea how to support any content creator. Watching a video in its entirety is the best support you can give. We are so thankful hundreds of reaction channels have implemented our suggestions, with some even providing links to the artists' social media. It truly is all about education. Reactors who are creative in their approach in educating viewers about support, fare the best. I know many angels only subscribe to channels who provide support to the artist and Angelina would want the same support for each artist you feature. Wishing you all the very best with your channel.

Absolutely amazing from this absolutely talent artist, Cover of a Cover as the original artist Mark James who wrote recorded Suspicious Minds didn’t achieve with his version, then Elvis covered the song and it was a hit, The first two little girls in the video are Angelina’s cousins her managers children, the elder girl is Angelina’s sister Juliette, production from Angelina’s Grandma who is a famous Iranian artist, pianist is award winning artist Rob Christie who is the Director of Republic Records which is also Angelina’s record signing which she signed with age 14 years old, love how Angelina pays tribute to Elvis with her black outfit and red guitar 🎸 and Pricilla Presley hair, great reaction thanks 🙏

This is my 92nd time experiencing this video, and each and every time it gets better. We must give credit to the support team behind this phenom. There is no one on earth that can match the talent of this STORYTELLER. AJ deconstructs a song then reconstruct it to make each individual hearing it feel it was written for them, a love letter to their comfort zone. Melrose Gallery is the same antique store in Hollywood that she used for My Funny Valentine AJ plays guitar, keyboard/piano, violin and flute. Don’t forget she writes music and was the youngest author in Norway to publish a book. No loud band, no light show, no dancers, just two instruments to accompany the MAGIC that Angelina Jordan brings like no one else can. At 7 she was killing us, at 16 she is taking us places we have never been. What a glorious production, praise to everyone involved, so perfect for Angelina Jordan she rules the universe with her talent. Again, the great talent of Rob Christie playing the piano. The Cinemaphotography, a total MASTERPIECE, Excellent ART Cole McCarthy! Great touch, the cousins and sister get a cameo. Mery, you should be so proud, AJ's grandma produced this. (This red guitar is identical to the one Elvis played in his 1968 concert on TV.) Oh, the tears, and loss of breath, she is like no other in the universe. Here is a classic example of what this ethereal talent, Angelina Jordan, can achieve she takes a mundane song and turns it in to phenomenal classic. Angelina at 16 is the MASTER of her universe, she is top priority for both Stargate, and AJ's voice has been unique since she was 7 years old and now at 16, she controls us as an audience, leaving us hang on every word and phrase. She has written a number of songs.

Angelina is accompanied by Rob Christie, 2x Grammy recipient and Studio Director for Republic Records. The little girls are her Uncle Michael Astar's. The 10 year old is her only sibling, Juliette. Juliette costars in 3 of Angelina's Official Music Videos. Her earliest appearance was on Venice Beach as Angelina performed Amy Winehouse's "Valerie." Juliette (8) next played the part of a younger Angelina in "Million Miles," an original song about losing their grandfather. One can only imagine the effect this production had on the two sisters, sharing their grief. "Million Miles" was first released as an illustrated lyrics version, displaying the artwork of Grandmother Mery Zamani. Next, it was released as a black and white studio version (both made while AJ was 14). Mery was a child prodigy, but in poetry and art. Mery designs most of Angelina's attire, as well as being a central participant in filming and producing Angelina's releases. Mery was cited in this video at the beginning of the current video. The music video was released immediately following her 15th birthday. From here, you can't go two steps without getting knocked over by her voice. One challenge you might consider is a two part feature, where you react first to Rihanna's "Stay," even if you've already heard it. Then, jump to Angelina's performance in an impromptu jam session with guitarist Ivan Mendez. Ivan was interviewed about working with Angelina released about a year ago. Ivan characterizes these jam sessions as just hanging out for the day, followed by a one-time recording later that evening, without rehearsals. Although his guitar playing never stumbles, you can see him get lost in what Angelina's singing. Anyways, Angelina's "Stay" is of another world. The last note on this performance is that Angelina is 12 years old in the video.

You compared Angelina to a young Michael Jackson, and the great Quincy Jones personally invited Angelina to sing at his 85th birthday party when she was 12. He said that she was "the best child singer he heard since Michael Jackson". I'm 68 and in all the years I've listened to Elvis sing this song I never really "felt it" or actually heard the words until this video. As she does with all her covers, she pays homage to the original artists yet re-invents the song and makes it hers. If she released an album of nothing but covers I would be in line to buy it.

Wow!! I got something right. lol MJ was the first one that came to mind when I thought to compare child prodigies. My interpretation of the symbolism of this music video: First, and foremost; Angelina Jordan at 16 is the epitome of a Storytelling ARTIST, and she has the ability to take us by the hand and lead us down an imaginary path that we visualize as reality. The remarkable fact is that we experience this in each of her performances. In this video we see her as a married woman in her mid to late 20s. As the video starts out, we see dishes, and it is a symbol of a home. As AJ sings the phrase “Were caught in a trap, I can’t walk out” we see 3 small children, this to me is a marriage where the children come first. If it were AJ by herself, she would not stay in a relation without trust.

Thank you for returning to Angelina. Continue featuring Angelina on your channel, and you have a subscriber for life. 🙂 The song was written by Mark James, an American singer/songwriter, who recorded it the year it was written. The best known version, however, was that done by Elvis Presley. It was his last No 1 song. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, Mark James is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).

Liked & subed for your Angelina journey. I discovered her when she was 12 & can't stop listening to her every day. Now at 16 she's the best I've ever heard & I've been listening since the 60's. Once you've heard all her songs ranging from the 1930's to present day, covering at least 9 different genres of music, you will see why I think she is the most versatile vocal artist on the planet. She can sing anything while making it her own & usually it's better than the original. She also has 7 amazing original songs, 5 written of co-written by her. It may sound ridiculous, but her music is therapeutic & life changing. A song a day keeps the doctor away. BTW, I think this 16 yo version of the classic jazz standard, My Funny Valentine, is her best work, so far. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4WqfZWpfKl0f5I It is STUNNING!!!

I think there is something very similar with Elvis in the feeling and soul of her singing. Of course she has a female voice but still.. Hard to explain but I have always liked Elvis (already in the childhood) and I feel strongly this way.. I don't remember feeling the same way with anyone else before. Angelina is the first one. There are some very good singers that have sung Elvis songs but I think it's never been this close to the soul of original music as with Angelina.

The Hagstrom Red Guitar used in this video is a modern up to date copy of the one Elvis used in 1968. The Hagstrom Red Guitar belonged to musician Al Casey, a member of Elvis’ backing band during the special in 1968. According to an accompanying letter from Casey, he was asked to let Elvis use the guitar by the producers, as they "thought it would look beautiful on camera and with the set." (Image credit: Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images) Elvis Presley’s 1942 Martin D-18 acoustic guitar may have recently sold for $1.32 million, but fear not - another of the King’s axes, this one his cherry-red Hagstrom Viking II electric guitar, famous for its use in the legendary '68 Comeback Special, is hitting the block. The semi hollow instrument is a highlight of Kruse GWS Auctions’ Artifacts of Hollywood & Music auction, which begins on March 27. It's being offered with a starting bid of $250,000. By Matt Owen published March 31, 2021 Now, it has been confirmed that the legendary semi-hollow has been sold for a whopping $625,000, with the proud new owner of the lot managing to outbid six other plucky bidders to get their hands on the prized piece of music memorabilia. The ‘68 Comeback Special marked Elvis' return to live performance after seven years spent focused on acting in Hollywood films. The televised concert, which launched Presley's return to live touring, featured him playing the Hagstrom for the opening segment as well as during one of the live "stand-up" segments.

Nice reaction and well said about Angelina having an old soul. Everyone that has heard her have said the same exact thing! Some of us kind of debate how many old souls she has within her! LOL People were saying that about her when she was 6-7 years old. She's been compared to Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones, and Adele, al who are musical influences of her. I would recommend her cover of Easy On Me by Adele which she did last year when she was 15. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6HaZoRta82Kjac You will again be surprised by her vocals on this one. Some have said that she actually sang the song a bit better than Adele due to her obvious jazz influence in her vocals. Enjoy your trip down this rabbit hole, it will be a wonderful journey!

Yeah! She’s something special, isn’t she? Power & Pure Velvet Perfection! This vocal arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt in collaboration with a stellar team including Rob Christie & Mery Zamani her Grandmother. She is a Master Storyteller. The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentine’s Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. Did you notice that right foot raise it''s heal to cradle the guitar a couple of times in the performance. I was waiting for her to throw in a little shake to it in homage to the King. Could that have been intentional? That is Rob Christie on piano. Sister Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes. I base my interpretation on my knowledge of Angelina's journey from an 18 month old little girl singing a "classic" of music history 'I Will Always Love You' . She has been listening to these classics on repeat on YOUTube since then under the guidance and inspiration of her Grandmother Mery Zamani. She has been performing these classics since her first time in studio at 6 yrs old.. She has continued this journey through her 1st introduction to the world with her "Classic'" 'Gloomy Sunday’ and following with her many performances at her many Jazz Festivals, TV performances, Concerts, and charity events, studio recordings and practice sessions at home accompanied or not. The location in the Antique store represents these classics (like the furniture) of another era. To me she portrays wonder at all these classics surrounding her. as she has travelled this road. Her tribute to Elvis is at her present age, today, each stage represented by her cousins and sister and ending with Angelina herself on the couch still admiring all this history surrounding her. The beautiful rendition of the song, and other tributes are in the leather outfit, Guitar and hair a tribute to Priscilla. Just my interpretation but it makes the most sense to me. ♥👣👸🏻

Ole .. we all have our way of making sense of the work of an artist. I feel strongly that the children are not about Angelina's life but about Lisa Marie Presley growing up. we see them as she is singing "Caught in a trap .. i can't get out .. because I love you too much, baby .." The 'trap' for people in a difficult marriage is often about the children. Also .. everyone happily uses the term Master Storyteller, which she most definitely is .. but then they decide that in a story about her marriage and how they don't trust each other and how sad it is, you think a God storyteller would break that very personal story and decide that there's need to talk about her growing up?? We cannot forget Lisa Marie .. and I feel clear that Angelina did not. Just my opinion, too, though.
@OleOlson1212 жыл бұрын
@@patriciasepulveda1264 I think my interpretation is more accurate Patricia. Just makes more sense to me. I don't know that Lisa had that much to do with their breakup. That was never mentioned that I am aware of. And this was not the 1st reference to the classics which is apparent in the use of this setting as well as 'My Funny Valentine' and "I Have Nothing' her tribute to Whitney. But that is just my opinion so I imagine it can mean different things to different listeners. All depends on the listener. Love and peace.
@patriciasepulveda12642 жыл бұрын
Ole .. we absolutely all have the right to our opinions .. I'm sorry if I made it sound or feel otherwise. I'm not sure I understand what you said about the references to the classics .. where you listed My Funny Valentine and I Have Nothing. Can you explain that connection, Ole? I don't understand it but would line to. Also, I'm in no way implying that Lisa had anything to do with their divorce. I was merely saying that when a couple with children are considering that their relationship is in trouble, there would be natural concern about how that would affect their children .. and they often stay together longer ("..caught in a trap ..") worrying about the kids. So yes, Ole... you are more than entitled to your point of view and my intention was truly not to change your mind but just to share another perspective or perhaps even just discuss the difference of our ideas .. which we are doing now. I appreciate conversations such as this and understanding someone else's reasoning. So I hope to hear from you about the part I didn't understand about "referencing to the classics" .. I'm curious about that. Glad you wrote back to me and hope you do so again so I get it. I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. I so love that tradition!

@@patriciasepulveda1264 The antique store to me represents the Classics of Music History just as the antiques represent the classics of furniture in history. That is what I mean. That fits her performances of Funny Valentine (a classic) and Whitney's (classic song) I have nothing. You are absolutely right that we all have a right to our opinions. I would never argue otherwise. I was just try to relate how I see it. I think your interpretation is fine. It's for each of us to interpret as we see it. That's fine. To you it represents Lisa Marie. Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 82 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched. Her phrasing in the last bridge is great. And she got Elvis’s ‘Oh Yea’ at the end of the song. The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammys), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers. The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister. Here is a link to a new video that just released which is a documentary of Angelina's early years. It's 20 minutes but would make for a very informative reaction. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHaZqWyMbaihr9k It is said that Angelina does not just cover songs but she uncovers them. Thanks so much Ron. I have saved the video you recommended and will check it out ASAP. It is also refreshing to see someone so young, so empathic towards people. I certainly hope she achieves everything she wants.

Angelina's guitar was NOT a PROP as some reactors have commented. She used it to honor Elvis. He used that guitar model in his '68 TV Comeback Special. A Hagstrom '67 Viking II Hollowbody Transparent Wild Cherry.

Great reaction! There's plenty of Angelina to keep you occupied for a while, TNT. I think you'd be impressed with a demo she recorded at age 10, called I'm Still Holding Out For You. Here's a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqebnp15nZqcn6c
