Just a 12 year old in her bedroom with her keyboard and mic... creating the best cover of this song I have ever heard. It's incredible. The way she paces this song is masterful. By slightly changing the tempo of her playing in parts she is able to create this feeling of tension and angst that is just perfect for the song. ...and the way she slides her voice with the fry... it's just perfect. I say all the time that she is a musical genius, but I think she is also an emotional genius. She somehow knows how to make us feel whatever she wants.

Even the original did not convey the emotions of the obsessive intensity of the dark love that I believe was intended. Angelina paints your soul with the vivid emotions. As with so many songs, there’s Angelina’s version-and there’s everyone else’s. Angelina has the musical talent, the voice, and the confidence to take a song in a direction we never would expect, but we know now that she always respects the original lyrics and music. Unlike many singers, she uses silence as a important part of her performances. Thank you for reacting to Angelina's version of" Wicked Game". It is hard to believe that a young girl of 11 or 12 could interpret the pathos of these lyrics and yet she does it spectacularly. I have watched and listened to several different performers, including Chris Issac, sing their versions and IMO none come close to Angelina's haunting vocalization expressing the feeling of despair in these lyrics . I await your reaction to her original song, "Million Miles". It is a masterpiece.

I remember when Chris Isaak released this song in the 80's, and I totally loved it. Since then I've heard it covered many times, and some are quite good. But none capture the essence of the lyrics like Angelina's (IMO). She decides to "mess around" with the song while accompanying herself on the piano. And this is what she gives us. Slows it way down, 3 or 4 simple cords, lots of negative space, and the heartfelt fear of losing oneself to a dangerous love. Easily, the best version I have ever heard (IMO). I'm always amazed at how such a young girl can display so much restraint when delivering a vocal. And a shout out to Sune Amtoft for creating such a beautiful video. This is certainly one of the interpretations of Angelina's songs that most grabs your soul and makes you look inside, its slow, smoky, sweet, intimate tones drag you and make you lose the sense of time. Her voice is so emotional it leaves you like a wood on the beach after a storm, but it's also so sweet! Thi's the best version I've heard of this song, she completely captures the pain of the lyrics, much more that original version.❤️ 🤗 Even if she is little more than a child, she has the ability to read songs, even if already performed by dozens of singers, in an incredible way all her own that always amazes you, every time she manages to find a new interpretation, that no one has had before 😊 ❤️

Before this song, this singer, I would have said no one could do this better than Chris Isaak. This is completely different. And completely better. The pace is haunting; it keeps me riveted to the lyrics, the music, and the emotion. One can feel the ache, the pain, and the longing/fear. She can inject so much feeling into her work. We know what she looks like...and she keeps her eyes closed during the 'live studio' so you know she's communicating with her voice, not her eyes and body. No, it isn't better. She was crying during the lyric recording, and we can feel it. We put so much projection on 'visuals' for both of these videos. She barely opens her eyes in the 'live', so we know, again, she is depending on her voice to communicate with us, not her self.
