John Gary vs Angelina Jordan Unchained Melody...... One of the most memorable experiences of my life was seeing John Gary perform live in Seattle, WA, when I was 20 years old. He had such a powerful and beautiful voice that filled the whole auditorium. During the break, he sat down on the edge of the stage and played his guitar, singing Unchained Melody with so much emotion and passion. It was a sublime moment that I shared with my wife, and I felt like we were the only ones in the room. At that time, I thought to myself; how could anyone top that performance, but 56 years later a 17-year-old Angelina Jordan just did. Angelina Jordan's performance at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Norway in 2023 blew me away. She sang with such passion and emotion that I felt every word in my soul. She truly captured the essence of the song and made it her own. and she is only 17-year-old. I have never heard anything like it before, this genius never ceases to amaze me.

Thats interesting Larry. Elvis was always my favorite singer on the planet, I thought nobody can touch him with a ten ft pole. Then angelina came along and covered most of his songs. I thought . Im gonna lose my admiration for angelina if she trys to cover elvis cuz nobody can. Then I listened to her cover of its now or never at age 11. I actually liked it better than elvises version. Then suspisous minds which was never my favorites of elvis. Yet I loved the way angelina rearranged it and slowed the tempo way down so ya can feel every word into your soul. shes a genius IMO and a Angel .

For me it is an interpretation, even more moving than the original one by Lauren Daigle, despite the fact that she is also a fantastic singer-songwriter of Christian music. I am sure that I will die long before this girl stops surprising me with what she is capable of doing and imagining, for me Angelina is a gift and a sort of dream that has lasted for 10 years and continues to move me and fill me with joy every time that I listen to it.💛🧡❤

It is indeed a spiritual song with in fact some lines where the writer is directly addressing God. I’m not religious but I can nevertheless relate to the main message of this struggle of feeling inadequate. Angelina just released a Christmas EP called ‘Driving home for Christmas’ and it is so beautiful. It has four songs from streamed Christmas concert. That streamed concert was so good with a band with some 20-25 Grammy’s between them. The fifth song is Driving home for Christmas, a cover of Chris Rea’s song. It’s a beautiful duet with a sax in her rendition with the magnificent sax player Jimmy Z.

You Say At the very end of the Christmas Show on December 23, 2021, (she was 15 and would turn 16 on January 10, 2022). Angelina performed "You Say", and she stated this is for my fans. I lost my breath, and I got chills, and the tears began to fall. I am an atheist, and my faith is in mankind, and the universe, the antithesis of chaos, not some mythical being. I believe the song "You Say" is referring to Angelina's Angles, those that support her in her quest. There must be a supernatural place in the universe, how else can we explain this being called Angelina Jordan. Well, I lost my family. My wife died. My mom and dad died shortly there after she died on 27 January last year in our home in my bed with her been a sad Christmas for me but I know that God will take me through it the pain hurts, but the Bible says a timer, more time to cry or Tyga laugh we will get through this difficult remarried 52 years.
