In case someone else hasn't mentioned it, the Flash season 1 starts at the beginning of Arrow season 3. So ... there's a lot of growth that happens with the Arrow before we get to Barry and the Flash. But these first few seasons are FANTASTIC and I highly recommend it.

Same! The show ofc got a few "less good" seasons as most shows do, but overall this is one of my favourite shows ever. Looking forward to it :D It may be due to how great Stephen Amell is in that role.

I love the earlier seasons of Arrow so much, also it's wildly funny to me that Oliver is so smart and rich but he had to have Barry give him a mask to realize make up might not hide his identity 😂

Spoiler If I remember correctly, Oliver couldn't come up with a material that would contort to his face and not obstruct his vision. Barry on the other hand is into all the science stuff and likely keeps up with different inventions. Another point is he is a forensic scientist, so he works with and examines different materials and fabrics on a daily bases. And him being Barry, he probably geeks out over and tests different things.

@@---Kyle--- Correct, when barry finds out oliver is the arrow he complains about him not having a mask, Oliver then goes onto saying how a mask will distort his vision when trying to aim, barry then gifts oliver a mask made out of a certain material bla bla to conform to his face, which is why he starts using a mask, i preffered the face paint though, that and the hood + night time isnt a bad disguise

Arrow started as great, that's why they were able to make The Flash and all the other shows. He is the starting point in the DC TV Universe (also known as Arrowverse) like Ironman was in MCU.

Wow! I actually forgot how good the first seasons of this show were! Even though I stuck it out through every single episode, I definitely stopped caring (for the most part) somewhere around season 5 or 6. Glad for the reminder that this show wasn’t always bad!

Watching you react to this is reminding me that I absolutely want to watch this again! Would love to see you keep watching. Tbh the more info you get on it all, the better it gets. From what I remember of my first time through (though it's hard to tell bc I'm pretty sure I watched straight through an entire season in a day), each episode has a new piece of absolutely mind-blowing info that just throws the entire universe for a loop. Quite the fun ride, and I love the way the characters develop and re-learn who each other are after so much has changed

Shows like this wouldn’t be possible without Smallville. Def give that a watch on your own time. That’s a 10 season saga that came out way before these shows started coming out.

Green Arrow was my first CW show and I was hooked by the first episode, started binging it with my sister. I haven't finished it though, I have to catch up. But, I just love how mature and darker it is than the other shows like Flash which I do enjoy as well. But it's just my taste, at least the first couple of seasons gave me Batman vibes. Glad you're enjoying it, I had a nostalgia trip watching your reaction lol.

Green Arrow is not normally like this btw, he's usually more of a sarcastic and quippy like Tony Stark so due note that this show is very different from normal Green Arrow.

I also want to catch up with the whole of Arrowverse, and if possible, in the proper chronological order such that we have the Arrow episode, followed by the Flash and then Supergirl, etc. When I checked the full episode count, I was like, screw it, it needs almost a full college year's worth of time dedicated to the whole showlist.

I do like him like that.. but I guess I had a fresh start on Green Arrow, not the most knowledge.. So I grew to accept CW's Oliver Queen and how darker, serious he was.. gave me Batman vibes who is my #1 so maybe thats why I easily liked his character too lol.

I had NO intentions of watching a single second of this show, but happened to be channel surfing during the premiere, and landed on the CW RIGHT as Oliver walked out in that towel...and was IMMEDIATELY hooked lol. Did turn out to be a pretty good show/franchise though.

12:43...the book "twilight" was released in 2005. The movie premiered in 2008... Oliver spent 5 years on the island and was retuned to civilization in early 2013

Now that you've watched Batman Begins, you'll notice a similarly grounded, gritty, realistic approach to this show, particularly in the first couple of seasons, and that's intentional. There's just much more family drama in Arrow than in The Dark Knight Trilogy. Also, Stephen Amell is in legit great shape. No lie, he competed on American Ninja Warrior for charity.

The Flash tv show only exists because of this show and it’s success. When Arrow came out it was soooo awesome and then when they started to do the cross over events with the Flash every season it took it to a whole new level! I really miss this show. Sigh.

I started this when it came out in 2013. Arrow has a special place in my heart, seeing this again. The first episode is hard! So good. I like the flash as well, still watching it. But arrow is something else, just love Oliver (and Diggle) so much. CW has great shows, legends of tomorrow, supergirl etc. What I like is the universe that they have built from 2013. Wow I was 24, so long ago.

I think one of the things I enjoy about the arrowverse is that all the shows have kind of different vibes so there's lots of opportunity for different people to have different favorites without any of them having to necessarily be better. Personally I like the flash the most, because the tone it usually has is more my jam, but I totally get why other people prefer other shows in the arrowverse. Cisco from the flash is my all time favorite arrowverse character, but I also really like Flash's Captain Cold, Dig and Felicity from Arrow, and Winn from Supergirl.

BRO FINALLY! Angelina I promise you this show is WORTH it. Bein the first of the DCCW Universe shows to exist is the truest gift for how amazing the overall storyline flows and the tone maintains for post of the seasons (my absolute fav being S5). This next to Flash is easily one of best DC shows Ive seen ever beyond space and time. the reason there is an order to how to watch it is because at one point they start to crossover into the other shows. so there will be a pt. 1 episode in arrow, then p2. will be a flash episode where they are both in both episodes. it gets even more complicate as more show get added. but its so good if you have the time to actually be involved in the "Arrowverse"

basically when this show came out they literally had no rights to batman and superman and a bunch of other characters. They made the green arrow batman in this show. which was a brilliant move.
