A huge part of the reason Stephen was cast as Oliver is that he could do the stunts himself. And David Ramsey the actor who plays John diggle is a black belt. Most of the cast use to work out together & did their own stunts. There are videos posted on KZbin.

No Stephen doesn't. His stunt double is Bam-Bam (James Bamford) any of the very FIGHTING moves that he does is Bamford. Stephen is a wannabe acrobat, he can't fight. David Ramsey isn't even allowed to use his martial arts skills, of which he has SIX disciplines - he has more than one black belt and yet they still don't let him do his own stunts. Yet y'all in the brain-washed OIishitty fandom still believe that Stephen does, but he has ZERO training. Everything you say is a lie. The only one that was truly capable of pulling off her own REAL STUNTS aka fighting besides David was Katie Cassidy (IE: Supernatural) and they nerfed her. Stop spreading BS.

2019/20 was the year I discovered Arrow and 4-5 years later, Green Arrow is one of, if not, my favorite DC characters, tied with Batman. I wish there was a big screen adaptation already, but the fact they were able to give us 8 seasons is incredible, despite the show decreasing a little in value after Seasons 5 & 6. You're gonna love this show if you enjoyed the pilot.

Oliver Queen was 22 when he first landed on Lian Yu. He was stranded there for five years which would make him 27 years old when he returned home. 😊 Judge Grell is probably a reference to Mike Grell. Mike Grell was the acclaimed artist on Green Arrow and the equivalent of Frank Miller to Daredevil or Steve Ditko to Spider-Man. 😅 Arrow started off strong. I really enjoyed this season quite a bit. 😊

Seasons 1 and 2 of Arrow were just...damn good TV, and considering they came from CW, it was even more surprising. The Arrowverse as a whole was pretty awesome in the beginning (and I watched it all)...it spiraled out of control but those first few seasons of each show and the crossovers was good stuff.

Well this is exciting! I grew up with all the DC superheroes, so after Smallville this live action was a fantastic addition to the lore. Love seeing an actor that can really do all the stunts (whether he was allowed to or not). Makes the show a bit more believable since Oliver is just a well-trained warrior, not an alien, god, or a magical superpower. Love this show and all the spinoffs!!!

Oliver is not a well-"trained" anything. He's a watered-down clone of Batman with a bow and no personality. And again, they DO NOT DO THEIR OWN STUNTS. David Ramsey is the ONLY trained FIGHTER on this show, and they don't let him do much of anything but shoot a gun.

A heads up, there will be crossover episodes with The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Batwoman Which will be very confusing if you aren’t aware of that. Main plot and story lines for Arrow will happen with the other episodes so I suggest doing a little recon each season to know when it’s time to watch the crossovers as a group and in what order to watch them. Aside from that, this show is awesome

@TravisViews There are cross over episodes. If you only do just The Arrow, then when you come to the cross overs, you'll wind up a little confused and wanting for an ending, usually. You might want to skip them but ... um... No spoilers, but there are a few important things that happen in them. Of course, a committment to watching them all consecutively as they originally aired gets to be quite the undertaking too!!! 6 different series: The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and Batwoman. All series in total amount to 699 episodes across 37 seasons of television. (I don't remember any cross overs with Black Lightning or Batwoman so they may have happened after Arrow ended -- I'm not sure) I do remember that there are at least 1 or 2 crossovers that are a mash up of 4 of these series and which jumps across all 4 to tell the story. Just something to think about as you move forward!

As much as I like Arrow and Stephen the only Green Arrow Oliver Queen for me is in Smallville but that doesn’t come for a pretty long while. Played by the one and only Justin Hartley. Smallville is the superhero show that really started shows like Arrow, Supergirl, etc. Arrow is very good though and I’m happy you discovered another show. Take care and love your channel! Arrow was originally going to be a smallville spin off before they decided to go in a different direction. I almost didn't watch it because I was so salty that they replaced Justin Hartley. Then I gave the pilot a chance and saw Stephen's cheese grater abs and the rest was history.

It wasn't until 2022 that Alan Rickman (Smallvilles aquaman) stated that it was going to be a smallville spinoff until they decided they didnt want him in the lead role because he was "to green" and cast Justing Hartley instead. When Aquaman ended up cancelled after the pilot was shot, producers liked Hartley and decided to cast him as Oliver Queen. Arrow to was originally conceived as a spin off of smallville before they decided they wanted to create a new story from Scratch instead of using the existing story from Smallville. All of this is easily available with a couple quick Google searches.
