He recorded the bass on Machina and Adore, and Mellon Collie was fully collaborative from all members. Billy Corgan is an amazing musician, but he's also rich and insane and loves to exaggerate his prowess. Now his guitar playing is tasteless schlock and he doesn't even use pedals anymore.

Have been a fan since the beginning. I always had the idea that they didn't have a single bad song, Billy is such a great songwriter. I can say that until adore, after that everything changed and we have what we have now. I was not able to listen to the Atum album, just things are not there anymore. So much to like about that. The original 4 members. Billy with hair, wearing normal clothes, and voice in between the Gish (best) and Mellon Collie sounds. D'arcy's singing and bass. James' hair. Bill and James beautiful acoustics. Jimmy's use of drum brush, and a single snare/cymbal.
