So much to like about that. The original 4 members. Billy with hair, wearing normal clothes, and voice in between the Gish (best) and Mellon Collie sounds. D'arcy's singing and bass. James' hair. Bill and James beautiful acoustics. Jimmy's use of drum brush, and a single snare/cymbal. When the announcer introduced the performance as, "as you've never heard it before, and will probably never heard it again" - he wasn't wrong.

What a fantastic version of the song!!

"You can really appreciate just how good..." all of them are. No fake crap. Play the hell outa what you got, keep tone, stay on key, and you have something special. And write your own music!!!

When they came out, I about died when I saw D'Arcy's name printed in the CD liner booklet, because I'd never known anyone with their name so closely spelled like mine. I also absolutely still love the Smashing Pumpkins!

Social media, music creation software, American Idol, and an emphasis on appearance and creating “product” that will sell to a public with an insatiable appetite for disposable pop music by disposable pop stars. That’s okay, though. There is still lots of real music by real bands from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s; and there is still some good stuff today, but you have to dig for it. I’m still discovering great music from before I was born or was too young to appreciate.

I miss the 90s but I feel so lucky that it was the decade of my youth. So many incredible bands and gigs. First band I saw live was the Pixies at Manchester G-Mex. 👌

you're looking at the 90s through those rose tinted nostalgia goggles. Im sure if we were to somehow show how the future would look like to the 90s people , it would surely intrigue them

Man! Look at Billy jam on the guitar. He is the lead guitarist and the lead singer. Amazing talent. I saw them in Madison at the Sylvia 3 years ago, and the performance was outstanding.

Why I would ever doubt the mighty Smashing Pumpkins is beyond me. I was like their is no way the do this song acoustic but they dot it and not only do they do it but they absolutely Destroy! Those fast sliding octaves are super hard on acoustics but then again they do it perfectly and that’s the guitar part that makes this such a special song!!
