My mother next door neighbor was a lovely 💐 AF Irish lady!¡!! When I was a child my mother worked at the hospital on night's and she used to babysit me!!!! She took fantastic care of me was an excellent cook and her house 🏘️🏘️ was absolutely spotless!!!!! The food looks great!!!! 💕🍭💯🎉💐

Yum Yum,iv had bacon and cabbage many times but I have never done it in the oven like that. Will have to give it a go. I just love home cooked dishes such as this.

Don't do it!! Rack O'Lamb is to tender and tasty. Cook fast in hot oven or even better hot grill.

When I was growing up, it was all boiled in the 1 pot over the fire, dinner was between 11,30 am and 12, that was traditional beacon and cabbage, no one done what your doing, we didn't have the ways of doing it and we didn't have the indigreations

James O'Sullivan collar bacon joint and cook the cabbage in the bacon water the last half hours strain off the cabbage and serve with white onion suice and spuds that's how the tinkers and gipsy folk do it the cabbage turns pink from the bacon and gives it the flavors

@@danielfaherty491 most of the tinkers stole their cabbages from the Farmer's known as January Kings they had a slight red tinge to the leaf when boiled with the cabbage they were known as cow cabbage but when with the bacon turned it a lovely pink

Trucker Kev yes it is, that’s what we refer to as bacon in Ireland. Streaky American style bacon is called rashers
