Well damn! I just placed a pretty big order with you guys. Had Adidas Ultraboost 4.0 with a copper heel. Blacked out mid sole and painted color matched copper stripes. Took me 4 coats and a little patience to get the stripes perfect. This would of made life so much easier. Same for my Ultraboost 19 black and whites. I blacked out mid sole and added white stripes. But the 19s were easier to paint. Only needed 2 coats. I was shocked because of the texture of the cage on the 19s. In any event . they look awesome now. Will def buy these markers for my next pair

Do you need the preparer for brand new items ?

We would still recommend using the leather preparer and deglazer. That will help break down the finisher and expose the leather, as most leathers will still come with a factory coating.

What we have seen other artists do is cut the tip to make it more pointy. This will help you create a small detail brush.

You must apply finisher every time still right? And how can you paint rubber mid Soles?

Finisher is optional. The paints already contain finish and if prepped correctly the paint will stick and last. Although Angelus paint can be applied to soles/midsoles of shoes, it is not guaranteed to hold up. Therefore it is not recommended to paint on rubber.

Should be fine. Are the stripes the same material as the video or are they plastic? If plastic then 2-Hard is probably a good idea but if not then just the prep and paint is good.

Question, when using markers on canvas do I also need to use 2 soft or is 2 thin enough, just curious if I should 50/50 with 2 soft then 50/50 that with 2 thin?

It may depend on the project and preference however, personally we would probably do 50/50 paint and 2-Soft first. Then adding small amounts of 2-Thin if needed. 2-Soft alone may be able to thin the paint to your liking so experiment first and make any adjustments when needed.

I was referring to the paint marker, but I found the directions on the pen itself. I must say, it is very difficult to visualize the correct ratio (1:1) when there is an opaque sticker around the entire pen! DESIGN FLAW! The first one I filled with too much 2 Thin. The marker line is sheer grey instead of black. Then to top it off the chisel point got destroyed when depressing to allow the ink to flow. This is a brilliant idea, but it needs refining. Like sell the pens with the paint in them.
