I am disappointed... Why do people hate Asmr so much? Can't they just turn on their music and watch the video if they don't want to relax? Do they really need to say that they hate Asmr whenever they can? What's the point of shitting on something that helps people and literally has no disadvantages? I would love to hear your arguments, I hope they are strong because I have the impression that everyone hates it, but no one can explain why! Oh, yeah, because it's "weird"? You should consider growing up. Asmr can only bring you good things. PS: Many people say "Ugh, it's so disgusting to hear people eating bananas or other foods", I want you to know that most Asmr followers don't like that either. It's a very small niche, and as strange as it may sound, don't judge them, they have a good time and they don't do anything wrong to anyone, so it doesn't matter!

I have a question. So, if I'm going to apply maroon colored paint from Angelus onto a dark gray or black surface, should I put down a white base coat first to allow the maroon to go on easier? Or can I just start applying the maroon to the dark gray shoe?

It may be something to test and experiment with. If possible, test the Maroon on an inconspicuous area to see how well it covers on that color. Maroon should be fine on the Grey but it may depend on how dark it is. It's likely that a light base coat to the black will be best. You can use Acetone as a substitute for Leather preparer and deglazer but sometimes it can be too harmful for the leather. Our preparer and deglazer is specifically formulated for the leather on shoes.

Yes it is essential, but you can use nail polish remover or acetone instead if you cant get deglazer shipped to you

Yes, prepping the leather before paint is the most important step. This will remove the factory finish and will allow the paint to adhere to the surface. Unfortunately we do not ship the Leather Preparer and Deglazer to our customers outside of the U.S. due to postal regulations and flammability. As a replacement, we suggest using pure Acetone. Hope this helps and let us know if you have anymore questions.

No, actually the finisher is to be added by itself on top of the paint once the paint has fully dried. You might be thinking of Duller. Duller is to be added with the paint or finisher to reduce the shine in the paint and provide more of a matte look. Here is a link. U need to do somthing about your matte finisher.and come out with a new matte finisher cuz what u guys have now Is not matte at all it has a strong shine to it. Not matte at all.

Regardless of the finisher, there will still be a bit of shine once it's applied to the leather. High Gloss contains the most while Matte will have the least amount of shine. Make sure to shake the bottle very well before use and adding Duller will give it more of the flat/matte look that you are looking for. As someone who’s been customizing for 5 years, I can say the execution of this custom is terrible. Definitely not something you guys should promote as a “how to” video. Your viewers are gonna ruin the shoes following this guy steps. Disappointed to say the least

uniqueca penn yeah no problem. First off he got acetone on the suede swoosh’s and ruined them. ( you can see the marks in the end result). If you’re gonna acetone around suede you gotta be very careful or at tape around. Second, he did not apply enough coats of paint which made the brush strokes show and the paint also looks translucent/unfinished. Thirdly, he is using the Wrong brushes to paint which is causing him to get paint on areas of the shoe which he shouldn’t ex. If you look close he gets it on the tongue from sloppy painting and not taping off areas. Fourth, you should always paint the toe box side to side not up and down. This will help the paint adhere when creases start happening on the toe because you painted with the crease and not against/through the crease. Another thing, he used a cloth to dap away the finisher. You should only use paint brush or you’ll get loose cloth molecules on the finished paint. And if you’re gonna use angelus finishers you have to add a couple drops of duller in the finisher NOT the paint. Adding duller to the paint weakens the bond. Otherwise it’s going to look way too glossy and tacky! Otherwise use krylon matter finisher spray if you don’t have the duller. Hope this helps! And feel free to follow my Instagram @iCustoms

Hey Icustoms, we actually noticed the swoosh and it didn't actually ruin it. It just pushed the nap down so we were able to get it back to original. If we soaked it with the leather preparer and deglazer it would of stained them. You are right though and this video was more of an auditory fun project for us then a tutorial and we have changed the name to reflect that.
