This song is what you get when you add real sentiment to a great song, sang by a wonderful singer. I hadn't planned on watching that season at all.. until I heard her sing that song. I watched until the end and thought it was ridiculous that she didn't win. That song alone put her in a different category than the other two finalists.

+1000 This is the best performance I've ever heard on Idol. I was so upset that those two mediocre singers (in comparison to Angela, especially with that just-decent country singer) made it while Angela went home that I didn't even watch the finale.

when i saw this, i thought Angie was so fearless by facing the judges with her song, it was a daring risk, but she pulled it off, i'm glad she got into the top 5 with Janelle, Amber, Kree and powerhouse winner Candice. and ever since that moment back in season 12, a lot of the cotestants from last year and those who are auditioning this year have been taking the same risk with their originals. I have seen all 14 seasons of AI. Off the top of my head, there are probably 5-8 outstanding performances on average each year - leaving us with probably close to 100 great performances over the last 14 years. If they told me I could only keep a single performance to be able to re-watch from time to time from all those shows and all those years - it would be this performance. In my opinion it is singularly the best performance ever. MFM
