How to Make Glowforge Earrings with the Spark

I really Love Glowforge Lasers. The quality of the machines are great and setup is easy and quick. I only wish they didn't charge so much for their monthly subscription for full use of the software after the trial period is over. Also wish there was an option to work offline. Other than that, I think Glowforge lasers are the best lasers for home crafters and small businesses.

Great video as always, Angie. The only thing that's stopping me from buying one is I've read in some of the groups how the Aura which just launched late last year that the filter already needs replacing.

That is so dependent on what you are cutting and how often you are using it.

I would recommend a computer. I don't think they have a mobile app.

Angie, does this machine have to be ventilated to outdoors? I'm thinking it would be great for a craft market but need to know more about how to ventilate it. Also, what else can be made on it besides earrings?

Lasers = burning. So yes, ideally all lasers need to be ventilated outdoors. There are some fan driven filter solutions but they end up being quite expensive and don't fully remove the smell.

Yes you always need to vent. Either to the outdoors or with an air filter that you purchase separately.

No. However you will need to make sure whatever material you use is laser safe and you stay with your laser while its operating. You also have to make sure you get the right thickness for it the cut through.

I did discuss this in the video. You can use other materials not made by Glowforge but you will have to make sure they are laser safe and play with the material settings.
