I really liked that you covered, at the end, being able to create on your computer and then pull it up on the mobile to finish using or tweaking.. because when the boyfriend first bought the cricut for me he didn't know (nor did I) that you had to have a computer in the first place. We didn't know how limiting the mobile version was. In fact, there was a lot neither of us knew considering how long I've wanted one. I told him I hadn't put much effort into learning how to use one because i never thought I would have one, to be honest. I mean, they cost about what I spend on buying a new car when u consider what all goes with it. And the fact that it pretty much makes 20 years of paper essentially worthless for what I wanted it for, use it for, ect (i am still holding out hope that i am wildly wrong!) So aside from it costing (actually a tad less, all told) than i just spent on my car but i also have a kid. Being a single parent, no degree, trouble finding and keeping work to pay for what all that entails but I'm also caring for my grandmother who can't afford a nursing home & the bf's mom really needs help and then it will probably be time to care for my folks..all of whom have no money so I had zero intentions of ever buying a cricut (even tho i very much wanted one. drives me crazy knowing how many ppl have one they just keep in storage because it scares them. 😆 Hell, I'll probably break mine trying to learn how to use it properly & there's a whole community out there hoarding them as bait for dust bunnies!)😆😆 So boy, let me tell you how my heart sunk when i found out you needed a computer to use it! Anyway, I'm glad you make mention of how to get some things done when you sit at your desk so u can do other things on the go! That's a huge help when I have to try and find a computer and the time to use a one some place so i can map out a priority list so i know what I HAVE to have done to use it at home. That parts not easy. Lots the mobile version doesnt do (can't download it at the library either😫). But it's one of the things I've added to the cheat cheats I use until such time as I can afford a computer. And that tidbit actually helped me in other unforseen ways as well. So you can't know the help your videos have truly been! Ty for All the work u do!!

Hi Angie, thanks for this video! I love your channel, it helps me a lot. One thing I've been trying to do and I haven't found a video that explains it (I apologize if I've missed it) but I am trying to create easy peel stickers so that people can peel the back off easily. I would either need to use a kiss cut line through the back of the sticker or a kiss cut border around the original kiss cut sticker, if that makes sense. Do you know how to do either of these? I'm using 8.5 x 11 sticker paper. Thanks so much for any help you can provide!
@AngieHolden3 жыл бұрын
So you want a kiss cut around sticker and through cut around the offset? cricut does not do well with different cut types at once. What I do is layer two offset cuts on top of one another so that will cut twice.
@hanne83672 жыл бұрын
Thank You for some great videos.. Could I make stickers with the offset and use draw and basic cut (draw for the text and basic cut for the offset)? instead of print/cut

thank you for this video...two questions and I may have missed it...should we leave the weld offset checked and when you did good vibes could we have placed those two words then do offset around it so it would not look weird like you mentioned?

Correct on both! Or I usually leave weld offset checked. You can uncheck to see what it does. And you definitely could have done that before like I did on the creativity is contagious one. I wanted to do it both ways.

One thing you didn't mention and I just am a little confused. You showed all these offsets with different colors (I've never used Cricut yet to do an offset so excuse my ignorance) and it shows these diff colored offsets as "basic cuts" and they are in varying colors. And you stated that they could be used for stickers. So like with the last one you did with the diff colors of pink shades with the outer offset in white, would that be a print then cut? With the offset colors printing and then leaving a white border and then cutting the outer border? And if it was a vinyl cut I'm presuming each one would individually cut out of the vinyls in layers based off color right? Sorry for the lengthy question lol! Thanks in advance!!
@AngieHolden Жыл бұрын
Correct. If you make a white offset and flatten, it will leave white around your sticker. If you are cutting vinyl, you can cut whatever color you want.
@karenh87782 жыл бұрын
If I offset letters/words in a white outline, can I use sublimation paper and will the white color be seen on a gray shirt? I know white doesn't usually work when printing. I hope that you understand what I'm asking.

The offset it welded if you check the box that says "weld offsets". However, it will not be attached to the original image/text.
