Listen when she talked about the Xanax addiction… that shit is real! I’m glad I had the right doctors who said no ma’am you had enough. I broke down crying! I didn’t think I was going to make it without it. As far as stopping the post regarding deaths…. GOD bless her. I could not do her work even tho she is super important and we need her. But we MUST TAKE CARE OF ACTIVISTS. And remember she is human and needs a break from the tortures of life.

You just never know what someone’s going through. As painful as the addiction and what got you there must have been like for you, Tamika, it’s refreshing to hear that someone so strong, that is doing work that many of us couldn’t even imagine to do because we depend on people like you to do it; has too gone through moments of weakness, although, you look like you have it all together. I’m glad that you’re better. We all need to be much kinder to each other, you just never know what someone else is going through. This interview and hearing your story humanized you in a different way.

Such an awesome exchange. Tamika sounds disenchanted and beat down from being in the trenches of change. I feel that so deeply because I'm there too. Humanity in 2022 is so exhausting, toxic, destructive, & disappointing....all of it. If often feels like an endless fire rampage that can never be put out. But we must accept that change is slow and all we can do...is what we can do. I wish for her peace, solace, and replenishment of the soul. We thank you for your service, now go rest beyond that river.

What a heart 2 heart interview. Mika thxs for your transparency, I truly appreciate you being vulnerable in your moments of weakness discussing an issue that many of us find it very difficult to talk about for various reasons but inspite feelings of embarrassedment, shame, etc you stood extremely solid in that moment more than you could ever know & for that I say Thank you my sistah, my Queen!

Excellent interview She just described exactly why I tell my family I won't and can't be an activist I feel everything. Through my pores and through my soul It took me a long time to be able to pull back and say no that's not good for me I didn't know about her struggle with depression and anxiety but I just knew it had to come with a lot My argument for not wanting to was that our people don't appreciate the sacrifice it takes to e an activist I will be sharing this with my loved ones...so they can stop asking lol Im proud of her and stand with her I pray that her future is bright and happy That her family is protected That she finds her person Enjoy life Tameka. Well done Thank you for sharing

Tamika will never know how many lives she has touched and how those individuals will forever celebrate her. For sure, I am one of them. No I have never had a person close to me murdered but have suffered the loss of a career because I spoke up against racism! So her voice speak volumes for me and others who will never get a chance to meet her, email her or be on those streets with her! Just want to say THANK YOU SIS ! And I send you much love, peace, protection and blessings!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

We love you Tamika and I pray for you and your family for God to always protect you and shower HIS endless blessings upon you too! The last part of the interview got me so emotional when she spoke about her parents. I feel the exact way about my parents and all the sacrifices they made for my siblings and I. They left behind everything to give us a better life and safety and security from a war zone and migrated to the West with absolutely nothing and they made sure we all got our education and gave us unconditional love and support and as a mom now I see them as superheroes literally! I have always love Tamika but I have so much respect and love for her! Thank you for the great work you’re doing daily.

I truly love this conversation, but it honestly just made me think about Malcolm. So many of our leaders are literally killings themselves to help our community, and it’s a horrible cycle. I would love to speak to Tamieka and, honestly, any activists to share some tools and techniques that help protect my energy and wash others away. In this line of work, it is important to have energetic and spiritual boundaries that will protect you while doing the work.

I have a new found love for Tamika, she is truly doing God’s ministry. Very intentional and purposeful. I love when she said I’m not spiritually ready and she is getting spiritually ready because marriage is spiritual. Divine connection with your partner and God because you have to go to bat for your spouse because spirits linger though they don’t have to stay dormant. God has that man for her quicker than she think and he is closer than she thinks. She is a true gem, small petite but hold a big punch. Would love to meet her and be in her presence.
