Okay, I was on Alex's side haha but now that I heard it again I think it could be both a p or a b. But I think the way she was going with it she might have meant to say "I broke up with him." Also, in her song "smoke and mirrors" she mentions how she "cut the tether loose" and I'm pretty sure that song is about Wilmer!!!

I find it significant that she paused before speaking. Maybe she wanted to choose her words carefully given how public she and Wilmer were but it seems to me that maybe she's moved on and doesn't want to look back. Of course now maybe with the OD things are different. Situations such as that tend to change people profoundly. I get the sense from the documentary that he proposed or they were talking marriage but she wasn't ready. She wanted to explore dating and being with others along with learning to love herself before settling down. They were on social media talking about being engaged shortly before the breakup was announced. Even her mom said the family was shocked. They were expecting an engagement rather than a breakup. Her mom said she really hopes they get back together. Being older than Demi I can see her POV. But from experience I know the love and devotion of one man always trump the attention and lust of many men. Hopefully, she'll figure it all out and come back stronger than ever. I know everyone is rooting for her.
