Angkor's Empire Performance Arts | 31th Anniversary of Angkor Site in the UNESCO World Heritage List

Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Stretching over some 400 km2, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century. They include the famous Temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decorations. UNESCO has set up a wide-ranging programme to safeguard this symbolic site and its surroundings.
Angkor Wat is the most famous ancient temple site in Cambodia. With its 5 lotus-like towers rising 65 meters into the sky, it is an awe-inspiring sight. Located in Siem Reap, this UNESCO World Heritage site was once the largest pre-industrial city in the world.

You are misunderstood about this. Royal khmer court is taught Thai classical dance by Royal Siam Court when khmer was the colony dependency under the rule of Kingdom of Siam in the reign of king rama 5 of Siam. You should study historical the truth more. Khmer’s ancestors were enslaved of Siam empire for more than 500 years in the ancient past. Khmers have civilization and no culture for their own. Khmer people are influenced Thai culture from Siam Thailand, don’t create fake history. your country has nothing to belong to you.

Following the modern Genocide that killed 3 Millions Khmers and 90% Khmers elites , highly skill people, politicians , Doctors , Engineers , etc.. are among the most execution.(1975-1979) imagine if these tragic existences didn’t happen in the modern histories I’ll know Khmer Empire would remain the Golden Empire of South East Asia known as the Pearl of SEA during 1950-60-70 era. These great leaders Khmers people that lost their lives were importantly the most greatest productive socio economic for Cambodia country but tragically their lives were cut short under this internal issues that politically involved also neighbors people . Also Henry Kissinger the Sec. of States order the bombardment into Khmer south border to relocated Vietnamese headquarter Communist hidden with Khmer border but the result were catastrophic that killed more than 100,000 Khmers innocent civilians .
