The angle of inclination and torsion in the hip are important anatomical parameters that affect the biomechanics of the hip joint.
•Angle of Inclination-
Definition: The angle formed between the axis of the femoral neck and the axis of the femoral shaft.
Normal Range: Typically between 120 and 135 degrees in adults
•Angle of Torsion
Definition: The angle between the axis of the femoral neck and the axis of the femoral condyles.
Normal Range: The femoral neck typically has an anteversion (forward rotation) angle of about 10 to 20 degrees relative to the femoral condyles.
