After watching your vids, I had to try a Toadfish rod. My wife bought me one for Christmas. She bought it directly from Toadfish, she said they had excellent customer service. They accidentally sent two rods, she called to let them know, they told her Merry Christmas and let her keep both. Thumbs up on that company

Watch most of your videos, and only comment on occasion. When you came back today and said "just kidding...she is a sweetheart" about Melanie, you gained even more of my respect. You are a true gentleman! Awesome to see that level of respect, and when we see you two together, it is obvious that respect goes both ways. You are a fine example of a true "man's man", Brant. I hope many viewers watch and learn more than just fishing and business from you, but also how to live an excellent life. Keep up the great videos brother!

Always good to see non stop action with the little guys , shows the fishery will be thriving for the next generation. Love the fishing and love the recipes , I try them all only i never with the same fish , nontheless...they come out amazing. Thanks for the collab vids , they help with my fishing and cooking.

Big fish will generally hide under something so I suggest casting next to the dock pilings close to shore. The bigger fish will come out for the shrimp, especially if they're left to sink down where the big fish are hugging the bottom. The smaller fish won't be as much of a problem, too, because the big fish will stake out their preferred habitat under cover and the smaller fish will generally stay away and be out in the middle of the canal!

Also, whenever I get in schools of undersize trout, I like to get a bigger lure, like a mirror lure or something, and often that will entice the loner bigger trout to strike, as the bigger ones kinda isolate and feed smarter than the small schoolie trout. Tight lines!

If you just give the fisheries a couple years, they will bounce back and there will be tons of fish like never before. But people don't realize the potential because there's constant pressure. Just like mob grazing livestock. The total productivity is so much better than a pasture under constant grazing pressure because the grass has a chance to grow.

You had it laying on the parchment paper.....next time, wrap it up in the paper and cook it! The parchment paper wont burn, the fish doesnt dry it out, and the pans wont get messed up with stuck fish. Try it! A chef tipped me to the use!

Speaking of redfish dinks… there was one time i was wade fishing and had gotten a rats nest on my bait caster… a dink red ended up picking up my lure and running with it and i had to bring it in with the rats nest still on my reel… well i unhooked him and threw him back… and that little dink swam right back at me as soon as he hit the water, bit me, and swam off like he owned the bay 😳🤦🏽♂️ i ended up spending the rest of that trip trying to undo the rats nest but i got a keeper story out of it lol
