The Anglia Knight was originally a sporting trophy commissioned by King Willem III of the Netherlands for the Falcon Club back in 1850. 109 years later, an Anglia chairman spotted it in the window of a London Jeweler and the rest is history.

@@grahamnancledra7036 I had forgotten about the Golden Hind as Westward's logo. It must have been a sad day when Westward went off the air. I live in the Central region and I don't think I can remember a single TSW programme being networked, apart from when Highway was filmed in the south west

@@Matt571 There were a few; Some from the About Britain Series, a few plays, documentaries and for the kids Tube Mice, and the notorious That's My dog. Westward and TSW were more a regional station showing networked programming from Granada, Thames, LWT, and ATV etc, it's why we loved them they showed us our region and the announcers, talked to us. Sublime, magestic, wonderful, iconic. Brings back happier memories of childhood long past and the shows that came on straight after this ident that my ITV franchises, TVS, LWT and Thames would show if they were made by Anglia Television...I wish the old ITV franchises would be brought back with the IBA as a more stringent broadcasting regulator and broadcaster.
