With five adult children and twelve grandchildren I can assure Kevin that family problems are the rule for most families (along with a huge amount that is good) but knowing that of course doesn't make them easier. It's good to know that God is ultimately in full control.

I love you guys. I am half american and grew up in England. The way you discuss must appeal to my american blood - huge relief to hear your delightful frankness. People make this mistake of thinking you have to cover things up, be 'nice', be fake - basically - in order to be 'holy'. I love your robustness; it actually accentuates your lovely hearts. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. It is balm to my soul to hear such straightforward truth being spoken. I live in Wales! I have felt undefinably uneasy - the Bishop of St. David's! has made me most unhappy with her deviousness. You have explained matters clearly, and it makes sense. As for the wider picture: yes, it is the cross that must be born - no way should any sincere believer succumb to the lies and disingeunuity - it is most definitely a devious path, the way things are going. Anyone who is naturally a godfearing person, can feel this. The confusion that insinuates itself, makes one ill at ease - it speaks for itself. There is no question about it: stand up to it, take up one's cross, stand up to be counted. What is there to fear? God is true and good and without artifice. We must be the same; not get for one second deviated by all these lies and untruth and misleading rubbish. Stand up, stand up for Jesus. All this said by someone who is balanced, sane, simply wants to affirm what is good and true and godly.

Mark Durie is a wonderful Australian Anglican scholar of Islam. His doctoral work found that the claim that Islam is an Abrahamic religion is bogus. He examines Islamic documents and practices quite intensively and respectfully while exploring difference.

In that case, its connection to Abrahamic religion is by way of the grafting of the Gentiles onto the Jews through God's plan of salvation in Jesus Christ. 2. From the Catholic Church's Second Vatican Council document Lumen Gentium, the Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation of November 21, 1964: “But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place among whom are the Muslims: these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”

I watched a KZbin with Gavin Ashenden, who was an Anglican Bishop who converted to Rome. He spoke highly of Anglican Unscripted. I'm a Continuing Anglican Franciscan deacon...yet I attend an ACNA parish. Sorry to say, there is not much hope for the Anglican Communion , although Africa might be a hope....but I'm not even crossing my fingers because the ACNA ordains women to the priesthood which is a nail in the coffin.

Think you nailed it -- There is " EVIL " against the Christians , I agree the BBC , SKY , ITV Etc literally pillored Kate Forbes for her Views whereas Hamza Yousef had a free ride . I see the CoE ( to which i attend ) as " being cleansed " to those who are " true disciples of Christ ". Remember we can be CANCELLED by the World but NEVER Cancelled by God ! While the Welsh bishops' response might have had no impact on a national or world scale, it did really hurt many Christians still in the Church in Wales. Stuart is much loved and to see him treated in such a way has been devastating. If it's not rescinded then it may well accelerate the departure of more good people from the Church in Wales. It was a petty and desperate action, but it made an impact on individuals.

‘Where orthodoxy is optional, orthodoxy will sooner or later be prohibited’. - Richard John Neuhaus (1936-2009) Jottings about an Anglican diocese. A diocese in the developed world, that has gone woke, and is now broke! This diocese has a bean counter, with a certain take on managerialism, as its bishop. But of bishop as Reverend Father in God, however, the silence is deafening. As well, clergy disciplinary matters are in the hands of apparatchiks of a particular groupthink, and only those who sing from their hymnal, are appointed. No others need apply! In this diocese, on one hand, clerics who sign up to modernist, woke theology, get a free pass. On the other hand, clerics who champion traditional faith and orthodoxy, are at the tender mercies of the apparatchiks, among others, who single them out for shoddy treatment. They, the apparatchiks, have a take on frivolous, malicious and vexatious accusations against clerics, which differs from that of (sic)counterparts in other dioceses. No incentive, of course, for those affected by clergy conduct issues, to resolve matters informally, or as soon as possible after alleged events. They produce bogus allegations of misconduct against the unfortunate clerics, and make them run the gauntlet of a kangaroo court, which of course, recommends the desired result of full-blown defrocking, to be rubber-stamped by the bishop. They are not going to be on board with outsourcing clergy disciplinary determinations to an external agency, anytime soon. Alas, Lord Acton’s well-known dictum holds true.

Now having heard the episode, and I too appreciate the thought effort and prayer that goes into it, could I suggest that although evil clearly is on the march at present this does not necessarily mean we are near the end of the age. I think this is unknowable and we need to avoid repeating the speculative mistakes of Hal Lindsay in this regard. We don't know if the current rebellion/apostasy is the final one heralding Christ's return or not. Nevertheless that Day will come bringing with it vindication and salvation for all believers, and wrath and tribulation for those who love unrighteousness and hate the truth.

A couple episodes ago Fr. George seemed to imply that parishes here in TEC have been free to leave TEC and take their buildings with them. For the benefit of viewers in the CoE, that wasn't how it worked, and the ACNA is full of people who had to walk away from buildings, and clergy who had to step out of pension plans before they were fully vested. Fr. George has even researched the infamous Dennis Canon which made it so easy for TEC to be stringent and even miserly to departing parishes. Spoiler: he couldn't find the original documents in the TEC archives, so whether that measure even was legitimate is still an open question.

John Sentamu was always a liberal evangelical. He was vicar of Holy Trinity, Trinity Rise in Brixton before he rose up "the greasy pole". I remember going to a deanery synod meeting in the AIDS crisis. RevJohn Sentamu didn't demand his gay parishioners abstain from gay sex. He was all for distributing condoms. He also blessed the opening of a gay club in Brixton when he was Bishop of Stepney in the 1990s. That was shown on Channel 4 TV. You've got the wrong man in your memories Kevin and George! John Sentamu may have seriously disliked President Robert Mugabe (and cut his dog collar in half on live TV to demonstrate this). But he never ranted about gays like you two do. As you said politics is always local! And John Sentamu was a much loved Archbishop of York.

I’ve heard enough detransitioners to know the abnormal effects of testosterone treatments in females. It’s a fair assumption that she was on testosterone but without proof, it’s not accurate reporting to say she was.
