The Warhorse stacks up really well with the Pub kilt, both are great and they both have things I like for different applications. As far as which kilt is better, it's difficult to say. It really depends on what you are looking for personally. You definitely get more kilt options from Angry Bastard and Steve Weston does do custom work to your specifications. However, I do like the Pub kilt pocket system better.

That was a great review man. I have a Angry Bastard tactical kilt and I agree with you 100 % its the best made heavy duty kilt I own. Steve is awesome to work with and I to will be ordering one of the Hidden Crest kilts that they make.

Another great review Steve. I have a UT Wild on the way and was intending on getting a Stumptown next but after going to AB I was really impressed. Not to mention the AB pockets look much more substantial than the ST pockets. Only qualm I would have are the narrower belt loops on the AB. Will have to make another belt. Just need to decide on the Workman or the Warhorse now. I definitely plan on looking more into the Hidden Crest version too for more formal occasions. Thanks again Steve and keep up the great vids. 2 thumbs up.

John Anderson, thanks for the feedback! The pocket system on the AB are tough to beat especially if you like a free hanging, easy to remove pocket. Stumptown pockets look a little small but then of course they have that big apron pocket. If pockets are your #1 selling point then it's definitely a Kiktman or Angry Bastard that you want.

John, the waist band is 3". How wide do you need the belt loops to be? We custom make each of our kilts and can adapt our kilts to our customers requirements.

Angry Bastard, I should have covered the belt loop size in the review, but I figured 3"was a more than adequate belt size and didn't think anyone would be looking for larger. I think 2"-2.5" is pretty standard for utility kilts isn't it?

Hi guys, first let say I'm truly sorry and sincerely want to apologize. First to Steve. Steve has, by far, done the best reviews on kilts I've ever seen. My impression of the belt loop size was solely an error on my part ..... I was split screening between 4 different kilt groups ( aye, I run this into the ground so to speak when I'm looking for my next kilt) and I believe what I saw was the "1-1/2" Heavy Duty Belt Loops" description on the AB site that threw me off. I should have taken into consideration the 3" waist-band description and deduced my error. That being said, I do have the "Workman" slated as my next kilt and look forward to doing a full review on it. I spend a lot of time in my shop woodworking in addition to making my own line of longbows and , imho, you honestly cant beat having a great kilt to work in....especially in the summer down here in Houston. I like the Warhorse but I like the idea of the heavier duck and the Tradesman pouch on the AB Worksman Kilt a lot more. I will definitely be looking into "hidden Crest" version too (with the Anderson Tartan of course ) for those special situations. Thanks again guys and I'm truly sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

Is that the regular Black or the Organic Black? I'm looking to get one, and I really like the color on that one.

How does this compare to the pub kilt? Which do you like better?

So sorry for not replying to you sooner than this. I had some major health issues hit that put me out of commission for the past year. To answer your question, I like the Pub kilt better than any kilt I've worn.

It's the regular black.

Just an FYI, I don't think these guys are in business anymore. I can't find their website anywhere. I was going to price check, but they literally have vanished.

Yes, he did close up shop. I guess he had trouble with suppliers to the point it was too much trouble to keep going. It's a bummer. I have 2 kilts from him and was gonna get a third.

Steve closed shop for several reasons. I'm gonna miss his kilts.
