Survival tip, coming from a farm girl who had to deal with several little shit rams: Don't run (unless only have a short way to make it over a fence etc). This makes them more tempted to fight you and gives them a run up which gives them more power to hurt you. Walk away slowly with your arms out in front of you - when they land and end up just bouncing off your hands they get confused/calm down/give up faster. If they are determined to try to fight hold them by their horns/Collar and walk backwards still holding them until you can step over the fence /get in your vehicle etc

Rams can be really mean! I used to rent a cottage on a farm from the farmer and his wife. Being completely naïve and being an animal lover, I decided to pet an inquisitive black faced Ram, I am so glad there was a fence between us, even so that thing came at me full force, and even through the fence nearly sent me flying!!! Got the fright of my life! 😱🤣Another time I was coming home with bags of shopping. The rams weren't in the field, there was a flock of ewes. The shopping was so heavy I decided ton take a short cut across the field and into my back garden as the garden had a gate that opened into the field. We often used to open the gate and let the sheep cut our grass LOL😂However the sheep saw me crossing the field bags of shopping and the whole flipping herd decided to come right at me, I mean full speed running in a stampede towards me!!! I panicked and screamed and dropped the shopping and legged it basically, and managed to get into my garden just in time! My then fiancée was in hysterics! He had to rescue the shopping. Next time grab the ram by both horns and twist his head till his body falls on the ground. Then sit on top of his chest and keep his head on the ground. Pet him and tell him good boy if he is being good or just give him a thump on the chest and tell him no if he is acting up. Never turn your back and run from a ram or goat. If you don't have the strength to twist his head, hold his horns and push down on his head as your body is rising above and sit on his head, smashing it to the ground. Then same thing, pet is being good, thump him if being bad. He has to learn you are the alpha not him. They all try it. Good luck! By the way pretty ram.
