I was playing Dreadnought also their Joe at PAX South and man, it was a blast. Dreadnought looks really promising as a fun and simply "shoot the shit" out of the enemy game and its fun strategy and tactics make it a perfect team based game. My friend and me worked together as a team. I played as a Dreadnought and he played as a Tactical Cruiser- He healed me up and I dished out the fire power and it was just freakin' amazing to destroy the enemies and live on in the battle with my friend backing me up. He got so many points from just simply healing me and even more points than the kills I got. He placed 2nd and I placed 3rd in both of our victorious games we had the chance to play at PAX. Its a great game so far and I can see you like it and I can't wait to see your official review on it!

I know someone probably already suggested this, but what about a customization ability that allows you to build your own ship from the ground up? Gun positions, number of guns, additional armor plating, engine power, even be able to interchange ship components to truly customize your ship! I'd LOVE to see a missile cruiser that'll fire off a couple hundred shots in a single salvo. They could even add a way to improve ship performance by being able to promote crew members that survive numerous battles? That'd open up perks like increased reload speeds, engine performance, better targeting... This game has soooo much potential!!!! I'm biting my nails in anticipation! Thanks for the upload Joe :D

This game could be the next World of Tanks but for sure needs features that show the immenseness of these ships. Like the ability to really zoom in up close, tiny fighters and drones that launch from a carrier or small satellites and space stations.

The thing that will complete this game would be the ability to pilot tiny starfighters. It would give the capital ships a sense of scale and honestly it would be cool to have squadrons of fighters taking down player controlled cap ships and vice versa.

From what i can see, it's a shame you're always "horizontal" even in space it doesnt seem like you can roll at all which would be really useful for some ships to get maximum firepower on the enemy.

I highly doubt that rolling or pivoting with an enormous spacecraft will be efficient at all, especially when the whole crew are probably standing or sitting in front of monitors on belt-less seats.

Rolling would be nice, but you should still be able to select this simple control scheme. If you have ever played "Space Engineers" you know that 3D movement can be very disorienting and sometimes give you a headache.

Warrior Me´s yeah ace combat lets you change the control scheme too. Dont know why but i feel they'll opt for streamlining the game and making it easy and dumbed down as much as they can. It appeals more people that way unfortunaly :(

I'd like to see targeting certain areas of the ships to effect the type of damage received. Like getting behind a dreadnought and firing on its engines to reduce engine speed or warp distance. If enough damage is taken maybe even have a "failed warp" happen with a cool down to try again. Same for targeting guns to effect their damage. So you could take a corvette on a suicide run right in front of a sniper (i forget the name) for the chance to reduce the effectiveness of its long gun. Also it would be cool to have small fighters as a special attack on a larger class ship. So you could send out a couple fighters with preset orders like to fire on incoming artillery, or get close to an enemy ship and jam its radar. Oh and port it to xb1! This gameplay is identical to an early access game called Fractured Space...of course this looks like a AAA game while that one is a an indie. Kinda funny how everyone jumped on the space comabt train after Elite and StarCitizen....but as big fan of space games i can't complain...i just hope they don't give us just trash multiplayer/F2p/P2w games meant for the space hype train. I find it really awesome that this game will have Singlplayer for instance.

+Wojtek'o .Djdark Capture points. Fractured Space goes for the same concept, but Dreadnought is more about the deathmatch arena than Fractured Space's base captures. I also thought I heard something about "tiers of ships" regarding Dread. Which isn't something that is built into Fractured. FS has different ships that preform differently, but can all do what they were designed to do perfectly well. Conceptually the two games are the same, but the similarities fade away once you look at the games mechanics.

FS is much more strategic, DN is more of a fast paced take on capital ship warfare. Personally, having played both alphas, I much prefer FS as the jumps between sectors offer a much more strategic experience, something more akin and welcomed to games like these, games with ginormous scale. Though, they are both very solid games, in their own respects.

I really really want to see a carrier with the ability to launch bombers that attack within a certain distance and for a certain amout of time, bombers are also able to be targeted by the player ships. carriers can also launch fighters that stay within the carriers radius defending it from any attacks, especially from bombers.

Played this with my friends at SxSW. Its fun, has amazing controls, and provides a true 3d experience as far as the gameplay is concerned. One of the few games that I'm looking forward to and its still Pre-Alpha.
