The problem was actually with the marketing that seemed be softcore garbage on the posters. Read the wiki for thhe plot summary; very different message from what people think.

While the other husband and wife combo have if they are lucky one good film to their names if that. Like Milla I think has some talent but that's pretty much only resulted in her being in one good film which is the 5th Element. I also enjoyed the film The Perfect Getaway but not sure if I would say that is a good film and I mostly just liked it for Timothy Olyphant.

In fairness and to an extant, I can see having heroes/role models that have different body types (it's not solely tied to health. It can be genetic and other reasons). Plus, it can help make for more diverse storytelling/characters. As a fan of the video game franchise of the same name, I keep thinking of a movie of that, instead. Canonically, Galaxy Federation ships like the Styx and Rynex need two people to fly them, a pilot and WSO, and they need to be very closely bonded to fly such a fighter properly. So what if the plot is two average pilots who are really close friends are called up because they have that X factor at their disposal, and have to do a lot of growing up in a very short time because of the immense responsibility and firepower in their hands?

I’m disabled but somehow this movie made me walk out my house. This film could have work better if they had more weird villains like the crab dude and actually make them work together. They just had Melissa McCarthy do all the work so what’s the point of having a duo?? I really hope someone does a movie with this premise of normal people getting weird super powers.
