@@supertrendymoneymaker0722 I don't think he died, but his brain is going to be swiss cheese after that. Moff Gideon disappears en-route to his incarceration facility, the Doctor gets set up and mindwiped, and Bo Katan's home is bombed off the map. Someone is cleaning up Gideon's mess. And... Yeah, it's gonna tie into the rise of the First Order. I don't see any way it's not. Which is kinda disappointing because the Sequels aren't just bad movies, they're really kinda garbarge lore. As bad as the Prequels were, they had building blocks that could be used to make better things, especially when you zoomed back from the Space Wizards. But the Sequels were just bad fanfiction that comes off as if written in three parts by three different writers who didn't like each other or each others' their ideas.

@@Gregbaltzer y’all are saying that like they ain’t already setting it up, can y’all just go now??? Tired of seeing “if they do sequel stuff I’m gone” even tho it seems like on these series (atleast Mando and Bad batch) it was setting up the explanation of palpatine returing and the origins of snoke since the beginning. This recent episode of mandalorian just makes me think they’re going to get into that shit, Dr. Pershing will be brainwashed and brought back to the empire by Kane and probably start or get atleast halfway done through the cloning of the Emperor before getting replaced by a actual Empire sympathizer, no matter how you cut it all these events will lead up to the sequels, although the theory of “the new beyond” will divert some of the shows (Around the time of the Mandalorian) to a “new era” in the undiscovered regions of space along with skeleton crew which would explain why most of these characters isn’t in the sequels, but I think other shows will finish these story arcs. Unlike y’all I’m not a big baby about the sequels, yes they suck because of bad writing but one of 2 paths for the timeline will either go after the sequels or away from the sequels in the outer regions of space, but no matter what time will have to pass the years of when the sequels take place. Disney's genius move was to look at the MCU and recognise the untapped potential of the Star Wars universe. The EU is, of course, ripe for the picking but the sequels also give them an almost blank-slate. I don't remember the actual timeline but there's like 15 years worth of New Republic stories to tell between Mando and Force Awakens. There's abundant scope for plenty of conflict and intrigue. Personally, I want to see a Clone Wars anthology series that follows lesser-known and unknown Jedi leading their troops on planets we've never heard of.

Thrawn, in the comics uses cloning to bring back 2 different jedi as sith(one being a cloned Luke Skywalker from his hand) as part of his plan to crush the New Republic. I'm pretty sure those tie bombers and interceptors were from Admiral Thrawn's fleet. They have been setting up Thrawn and Ezras return for quite some time. There's a theory that Pershing's story in this episode was originally gonna be featured in the now dead Rangers of the New Republic series, but after Gina Carano was fired they repurposed it for this Season. It's sorta like the theory that Mando had two episodes in The Book of Boba Fett because filming for Season 3 was delayed or something. I have no way to confirm that, but this episode did have a heavy focus on the New Republic and it wouldn't make sense for the creators to scrap all the ideas they had considering Disney is trying to build an interconnected story with these shows. I liked the episode, but I hope Pershing has an important role to play this Season to justify dedicating over 80% of an episode to him.

The writers of this show don't seem to understand how imperial tech works. First the AT-ST was described as an ultimate killing machine despite them being nothing more than patrol vehicles that are easily taken out. Then in this episode they say that TIE interceptors were tougher than regular fighters. That's also incorrect. They were made to counter the A-wing by sacrificing armor for more speed and maneuverability. So, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they also forgot that TIEs don't have Hyperdrives.

To me Star Wars has always been an adventure for all ages. I was 6 years old when New Hope came out in theatres in 1977. The original trilogy appeals to all ages because he never tries to be too smart/adult that kids don't get it, but it's not so kid oriented that adults can't love it too. I still view shows like Mandalorian like that. I don't want it to be too smart, because it should still appeal to little kids like it did to me when I was 6. Even at age 6 Star Wars never went over my head. So far, there hasn't been anything in Mandalorian that I can't turn my brain off and forgive because it's still kind of fun. Star Wars was never as smart as Star Trek, and I don't think it should ever be. Now the Obi-Wan show, and the Sequel trilogy, is another story, those were just stupid fucking writing from beginning to end. I can't forgive that crap.

The majority of the Imperial Remnant warlords only had as much as a light cruiser or two (Moff Gideon, for example). Very few actually had Star Destroyers, manpower, and resources necessary to field that many TIE Interceptors seen at once. The only Imperial Remnants that could do such a thing would be the Imperial Admirals (most notably Thrawn). The New Republic's decision on decomissioning the alliance fleet is part of their "new" system where there is no centralized military but rather smaller planet- and sector-based defense forces in a similar sense to the Old Republic before the Clone Wars (as seen in The Phantom Menace).

I disagree, I think it's quite clear what Disney wants to be doing. I also think it's quite clear that somewhere along the chain of command is someone that lied on their resume to get themselves into a position where they can dictate story and structure to some highly experienced industry veterans, despite never having seen a film or having any kind of industry training. Disney's plan is for a SWU to go with their MCU. Andor, The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka, are all directly connected with each other, as well as with Rebels and Clone Wars. Andor connects directly with Ahsoka via an event from Rebels we are almost certainly going to see on-screen: When Mon Mothma outed herself as a Rebel, she was pursued from Coruscant by Thrawn and rescued by most of the main cast of Ahsoka. It is not hard to see these, and probably some other shows, all coming together in an Endgame climactic showdown with Thrawn. Be honest, you want to see Sabine Wren, Bo Katan, Boba Fett, Din Djarin, fighting side-by-side with Mon Mothma, Fennec Shand, Chopper, and Hera, while Ezra, Ahsoka, and Grogu ride Space Whales into combat against Thrawn's loyalists, right? I enjoyed this episode a lot despite the lack of action, but I also enjoyed the previous episode too. Maybe I'm part of the minority that likes "Shiny Keys" but also can enjoy story beats and character arch/development. On another note while I am one of the many many people who were very disappointed with the Sequel movies, I would be willing to see our extended Star Wars Media lead in or tie into the what we already know is inevitable and considered canon lore now. BUT and its a big but, I would like to see a focus shift on to the rest of the events occurring in the galaxy. Give us more to go off for the future timeline than just the events of The First Order, Rey and Kylo. Unless Disney comes out and publicly admits the Sequels aren't canon (which isn't likely) we cant change that. But what can be changed is everything that hasn't been written yet. The Lore around these events can be written to help these events work, to help them make sense. Its not the most ideal situation, but it will make things better overall if done properly.

I think it's best to just ignore most of the sequel trilogy. Djin took her to the creed and no she’s not buying into the way. She’s sees an opportunity to take over. She didn’t tell Mando about that creature so she can tell them and lead them and her her followers back without using the Dark Saber. I think we are looking at a character twist with Bo Katan

I disagree on this one. Both my wife and I thought the change to Coruscant was abrupt and confusing. Almost the entire scientist section was absolutely outrageous. For example: Walked straight through security at the train station and no one saw, jumped off the train perfectly unharmed, running away trying to be sneaky with flashlights on. It was visually appealing, but I thought it was the weakest in the season so far. Although it could lead to something good I don't know if I have any faith.

Andor shills always assume Star Wars fans “don’t like stories”. Andor had nothing to do with Star Wars as Lucas created it. This episode of Mando is what Andor was trying to be. They still wasted a lot of time, but at least it had some excitement at the end, unlike that slog fest called Andor.

The sometimes quite loud colour schemes on the Mando armour is meant signify their mission in life. Mando has no paint scheme as he isn't on a life quest of vengeance or whatever. It isn't something you paint from mission to mission or seasonally. So yea it looks a bit dorkey but so did armies wearing bright coloured tunics a couple centuries ago, or the dazzle paint schemes on warships in WW1 or even tank camo up until the cold war(see UK Berlin camo scheme or 1942 desert Matilda tanks).

Of all the things they could do, they are focusing on how Palpy managed to return.. Just why? Holy fuck, they just showed Coruscant in more detail than prequels did, why not do some actual bounty hunting there, or anything else really. So much you can do on Coruscant with the damn bounty hunter, which the show was suppose to be about. They are probably pressured by Mickey Mouse to connect the show to sequels and make more sense of them at the same time. Only way you could do that is to make The New Republic even more stupid and inept than the previous one, so the First Order can emerge at some point. So much wasted potential.

There's a noticeable dip in quality in the soundtrack during the episodes this season. Ludwig Göransson has been replaced with Joseph Shirley because of Göransson's commitments on Black Panther 2. It's a shame because the score was definitely one of the best things about Mando, and also The Book of Boba Fett (the main theme) which Göransson also composed.

24:10 I have to disagree, I can certainly see why they would consider cloning unethical. An army of troopers were created with no rights who were not represented in the senate to fight a war they had no say in, are then mind probed to slaughter a faction within the republic without any kind of vote, which led to the fall of said Republic. And then the clones were thrown aside (yes by the empire, but judging from this episode if the republic somehow won the clone wars I think they would use this forced mind therapy thing the New Republic are doing). Although the fate of the clones is unknown at this point, judging from the Bad Batch it doesn't look good. I don't think many within the Star Wars universe would see the Clone Wars as a positive war in any way. So I can understand why so many hate the idea of cloning, but that's just my view though. (:

While I kinda liked the episode because it had an actual story. There are some issues (for me). Corrusant seems much more cartoony than what is shown in Andor. So the contrast is a little jarring to me. Everyone Pershing interacts with seems to be an idiot. Especially the end scene with him in the mind flayer is horrible. Who on earth would leave him unsupervised while having his mind altered? Also who would leave the woman alone in the room with all the controls? - and how does she expect to get away with it? ... one would assume that they will know that the controls were adjusted. I hope we get more context to her plan. It makes very little sense to me.

You talk about people not wanting story, but the issue here is they story was weak. Why are we supposed to care about some ex-imperial scientist that we haven't seen since ?Season 1 where he was in collusion with the main antagonist. They try to get us to care by 'Oh well I like to clone because my mother died, and maybe cloning could have helped her', there was nothing behind it. He is a flat character with no emotion, and nothing to him beyond a sign that says "I am a charcter that was written to REALLY enjoy cloning research', and then he is paired with a painfully obvious betrayal plot with former colleague that also is 2-dimensional. It's a shit story that could have been written by a 10 year old making a fan-fiction.
