This is the major problem with exclusivity deals on Games for Franchises. So glad I never became a sports game fan because if I had known this was my future as one then just about anyone would commit suicide with how bullshit this is. I admit to avoiding EA Battlefront 1 but brought Battlefront 2; despite all the effort put into it after the problems it caused, I doubt anyone can say it wasn’t fun because it was, but at least it was different & not recycled for years with the bare essentials to update the series each time to “legally” pass off as a new title. I suffer the effort of going back to League of Legends with rusty skills than attempt to pick a copy of Madden. Why have a system to create your own player with actual customization since it’s first appearance only to take it away for preset faces without altering; because “Fuck you! Give money & your common sense!”

Problem is that PES gameplay isn't great as well and thus not really great competition but I think it is working as Fifa does improve slightly every year. it's definitely not worth the asking price of 60$ but still, if you buy Fifa only every 3 years or so you will definitely notice a difference
