This is the slow way to farm Charleston. It should only take 2 minutes from start to finish. Run from the second door to the end of the long corridor, throw a grenade and then run back to second door, (avoiding the now awakened Ghouls) turn around and open fire. All ghouls will be in a tight group ready to be shot. Then all the dead bodies will be together for quick looting. This can be done in under two minutes start to finish.

I usually run through the building swinging a super sledge... it's loud enough to wake up 90% of the ghouls and once I reach the other side of the building I just turn around and mow them down :p takes me roughly 5 minutes but that's because I'm slow and not doing much damage xD

I have been using this exact same route for months but I always visit the investigator's cabin after Whitesprings and before West Tek and head east towards Ripper Alley and look for the building and car park where there can be a good chance for legendary enemies and also random encounters. I'm baffled at how they decided to have the battle mace be a skin for the super sledge instead of Grognak's axe. Even the weekly ATX news said it was a skin for Grognak's axe. Enemies being able to hear you swing a mace in the air from 100 meters away is just silly. Great video though!

It's disappointing that it is for the SS, such a cool skin. Though I do find it hard to believe anyone using a battle mace as a weapon wouldn't be screaming at the top of their lungs anyway, so I guess we can just pretend that's the reason they can hear us from a mile away.

@@Sgt_Kane Don't you check stats before you write an argument? Even I double checked before writing this even though I already knew the facts. They both have the same speed and damage except you can add a heating mod to SS to give it the edge. The only advantage to the Grognak Axe is it is lighter. Please don't argue back until you go into the game and check. Also I hardly ever see anyone with the axe and the SS is the most common one I see.

Great video Turtle. I use the same route but usually skipped the Burrows and instead farm the loop topside for one to two legendaries. Harper’s Ferry has lots of safe, plan drop, and a vendor for selling the weapons. Also you can scrap, repair weapons and armor in the church. At West Tek inside I have noticed a second spawn after clear the main area. I though these guys came from the research area but the research area is full when I get there. Also West Tek has a few good safes.

cool video! I use Vampire's Mr. Handy Buzz Blade for this type of farming. I made a video on it but no narration on the vid. I was trying to show that the constant damage if you keep the trigger depressed will maintain your health or even if it drops it'll come back fast as long as the blade is in contact with an enemy. it's also noisy so the event at watoga HS I don't do the candy/mask part I just click the buzz saw trigger repeatedly to make noise and bring the enemy in. on humanoid creatures I just keep it head height, with buzz blade it kills them faster than hitting the limbs plus it staggers them. other creatures like death claws I hit the legs.

Ever since the Wastelander's update, all instances are private unless it's a public event type, meaning a player can do one instance with a team as the leader, then exit the room and then have someone else be team leader so you can go in their instance. This way you can all 'damage' the legendary boss to make it drop loot for everyone and rotate the leader role so you can re-load the instance.

I use vault 79 for legendarys. You go into the basement of Freddy Fear's and then you do the power armor glitch through the left back wall with the pallet. Go tightly around left into the cave and follow it down into 79. Do the PA glitch through the window to the right and then youre in the hall to the boss room. You are guarunteed a 3 star sentry bot and could even get a 3 star gutsy. Server hop and repeat. Takes me less than 5 minutes now

Unless you are on a private server, its hard to farm white spring or west tek because everybody farms those so there is never anything there.

Good route. But you don't have to use melee. On one character I use an unsilenced handmade for farming and it brings everything right to me like this. On another I use a bloodied combat shotgun with a muzzle break for the same. Clear much faster too due to no limited swing time. Only downside is no blocker so if your bad at getting hit could cost you time instead of saving it. But definitely something to consider.

I'm not sure I've heard about this before, but there's a way to spawn a legendary scorch beast and Mr Gutsy at the rooftop when doing the final battle of 'A Mayor for a day' quest. As long as the timer doesn't run out, you can keep repeating the spawns unlimited amount of times by killing the legendary mobs and getting killed during the quest.

My first alt was built when a Whitespring nuke was the premier legendary farming zone in the game. My main character is a sniper. He does great while playing solo, but the super high damage and reliance on stealth makes him a pretty crappy team player. I put a good bit of thought into what would make the ultimate build for a Whitespring nuke, with survivability, efficiency, aggro magnetism and solid damage being important factors. What I landed on was a high health slugger build that lives in power armor modded with a tesla coiled torso. Even lvl 68 ghouls are easy to put down with an AA/SS super sledge, and aren't very troublesome to a character in T-51b with the Blocker perk and Rad Sponge as part of a four person team. I used this character for many, many months to farm, and he excelled as part of a team or overall group activity. Resource expenditure was almost none, aside from needing food once in a while. Back when unstarred legendaries existed, he would just be rolling in gear after a run. My first nice legendary handmade came through his efforts. It was an AA/E/Weightless version that my sniper still uses when he groups up for V94 raiding in a team. Tesla coils hold and draw aggro like nothing else in the game. If I started zapping near an enemy that was aggroed on another player, they'd almost immediately shift focus on to me. With a one star vampiric buzz blade, I could just draw out the entire population of the golf club to the parking lot, vaguely saw away with baby damage at the mosh pit surrounding me, and stay at full health the entire time while zapping and tagging everything around me for loot. The rest of the server could happily blow them all away at their leisure and I never missed out on loot. The tesla coil zap damage tags everything for loot, and also keeps enemy attention. Now that Whitespring nukes are rare, the character transitioned to a junkies heavy gunner build for soloing V94 and just general end game utility. I never earned the full Strangler suit, and probably won't before the vault closes, but T-51b is still totally fine for SBQ and whatever. Since coils aren't very helpful anymore, I typically wear a Kinetic Dynamo torso to assist the Dodgy perk for damage mitigation.

@@AngryTurtle Because 76 allows you to move normally with AP while overencumbered by default, I've entirely stopped using weight reduction perks on every character except my mule. AP regen perks are great to swap into when farming, because they also help you with combat, namely the Dodgy perk and of course with a VATS build. If you use a kinetic torso mod, all you need is a couple low level enemies to shoot you for a rapid AP refill. For me, and I'm sure this isn't for everyone, it's easier to min/max my every day loadout, crush normal enemies in seconds, keep essential gear to a healthy limit and be able to just jump into difficult events as they appear with full confidence. It's much easier to me to swap to a high capacity backpack or swap in "food build" perks after the action than it is to do so beforehand. I might not even need them. I'm definitely in the minority, but my sniper walks around with his normal loadout at around 100w depending on ammo and a capacity of 280. I have a lot of crap to pick up before hearing that overweight sigh. My unarmed build carries about 80w with a capacity of 420. If I need a bunch of lead, I'll usually farm with her. She is so low maintenance it's kind of crazy.

Good vid, I also have a route that I use to legendary farm but after a few hours I'm overencumbered and all my scrips for selling the legendaries are done until next reset, I have to actually restrain myself from farming. Though on some days I just end up selling for caps.

You missed 5+ ghouls in one part, 3 in another, and 8 further on past where you checked your drops inside Burrows. The locked gate has 5 and sometimes another group coming from the flooded section with the valve needed to open the robot section. Takes just a second to run through there. Then there's 3 inside the room that's behind the red chained door... good to open it and check them too. Then the 8... go through the right side doorway and through the door that's across at 45 degrees and in the flooded section is 3, then back out to the corridor and head towards the north entry but turn into the first doorway on the right for 2 and 3 on the far end of that section. I have gotten legendaries from all of those and so you could have missed some in each section and that's 16 more chances up to over 20. Of note the ones behind the gate and inside the room with the chained red door are set to crawl out of their hidey holes upon entering the rooms, two behind the gate walk back and forth but won't come investigate noise beyond the gate due to distance... one step past the gate and make noise and they will notice it. That's for pacing, instead of killing every ghoul in that whole area there's some waiting for after you get the key or explore the central area.

My problem since returning for wastelanders is that the daily scrip limit is just far to low. My character and stash is always full of rubbish legos I don't want. I instantly sell 1 star stuff now to save space. Even half temped to start another character to transfer it over.

Oh and I was using it with only one level on each slugger card because I just don't have I've never really played the two-hander. So conceivably could have gotten another 30%. I'm actually kind of planning on building to another character and given that weapon to him or getting in one like it. And then just using magic weapons for guns

In good power armor, blocker + dodgy. Dodgy is underrated in power armor builds. You can get a lot of PA mods that increase AP refresh which works well with dodgy.

Hey turtleman get you bloodied mr. Handy. That is an amazingly underrated weapon especially for farming like you are empowered armor at low health. no ammo to provide no swinging over and over again you basically just move into a room and and hold down the button and spin and everything dies. I modified mine with the only model that it has its electricity which is actually more damage than the base ballistic. I think I was getting about to 60 or 70 damage but it's a v.fast two handed weapon. So when you touch something it just dies. I even used it on the queen. Although it's not the best weapon for that because when you get ganked by the Queens ads it's not that powerful but for farming. I actually set up a set of power armor just for it.

I really hope Bethesda adds more guns weapons and armor not just skins. There are so many pistols, rifles, lmgs, melee weapons, etc that could be added. I’d like the addition of a few new calibers as well. A mace, two handed sword, nunchucks, flail. So many different weapons could be implemented. I know it’s taxing on systems but a junk jet/rock it launcher would be incredible. There’s few things more satisfying than knocking off a super mutants head with a toy car or 8 ball. It’d give junk items more use than just scrap.

There is a vid by TR3B that shows a connection between losing health and legendary spawns. If you have higher health and start to drop to low health will have greater chance to spawn Legendaries. Maybe you can test this theory?

I did the burrows like...ten times on ten different servers and got one legendary and I haven't gone back since. It's a rare run through harpers ferry I don't get at least one, though.

There can be long bad luck streaks. Lately the Burrows has given me 1-5 legendary per run.

Camp mctintlock is good. Also on the roof of WS bunker side entrance is a roll of tape, and further down the hill in the guard post is a pouch and another tape. Keeps me going at least lol.

I tried a few times by just leaving to the main menu and rejoining... left some loot at the spawn location and it wasn't there when I came back on a server.... did this 6 times and only once did I find my own bag of loot at the spawn location
