This guy should get an award in complete awesomeness and good way to teach others. I have watched many of hes videos and I'm still amazed with hes really good work. Even other development consultants i meet, knows this channel and also speak of it as one of the corner stones, when learning new things in software development. Dear Derek, you undoubtedly get a lot of recognition, but I still think you deserve more. You have helped so many people through your brilliant work. THANK YOU for being one of those people who help out so many and share knowledge. This is just wonderful :)

His intellect is way over mine, but I learn so much from him. He just gets right to the point and already knows what we want to know. I was watching some of his tutorials way back for C# and he had us create a simple "Warrior" game, but it was fun. I was like what am I going to learn from this, but he organizes it in the most efficient way possible, and it got me closer to understanding that you have to have at least one static variable (or class properties in that case) in a program. There were way too many tutorials out there trying to teach some kind of magical programing and it just makes it more confusing. I just started trying to learn front end programing and thought that I would take a peak at AngularJs and now I must go back to the farm. :).

Hey Banas! I love all your content, sorry I can't donate, but I'm just dropping a line to let you know that the new Angular (v2/4, v5, Universal) documentations are incredibly sparse and/or barren, and that if your all-in-one-video for the new Angular is anything more extensive than the official tutorial you will unquestionably secure at least a handful more of loyal subscribers, viewers, etc. Good luck getting into it yourself; the resources are so tangential, they may as well not exist.

Hello, I had the same error, I looked at my code over and over then realized that on one of the script tags referencing exam1.js file i had the following
@willft5208 жыл бұрын
I know this is 6 months old, but some folks could experience the same problem that you and I had, so here is what happened to me and how I fixed it: In exam1.js Derek converts strings to numbers by adding unary operator +, like this: +$scope.first + +$scope.second. I usually don't like to leave unnecessary spaces between numbers or variables, so instead of separating those two + I typed instead: +$scope.first++$scope.second and these ++ together ruined everything. Turns out this is not an unnecessary case for spacing those +'s.
@sindikaroshi58357 жыл бұрын
I had that problem too. If the other solutions proposed do not work, make sure you put everything in the right folders. exam.js should be inside js folder but angulartut should be outside it. That was my mistake. I didn't catch it on time.

+Maksim Muruev I think if you simply use "ng-repeat", it will repeat the content in only the tags enclosed in that "class." However, if you use "ng-repeat-start", it will repeat all the content after the tag, until you reach tags marked with "ng-repeat-end".

Hey Derek. Your videos are great. I'm looking to make a live-chat web app with two different users: an organization, and a user. How should I begin creating this, and is there a way to set permissions?

+Derek Banas you're actually a genius. I'll be asking you (and stackoverflow) for more help when I begin customizing it to my needs. Do you offer a paid or free helpline or anything like that?

i'm newbie at javascript and jquery, should i proceed learning angular js or should i learn javascript and jquery or just one of them first?
@derekbanas8 жыл бұрын
Focus on getting good with one before moving on to others in my opinion
@germanmanalili68578 жыл бұрын
so what first should i learn? i mean is it required or essential to learn first javascript before proceeding to angular?
@jord_codes7 жыл бұрын
Angular and jQuery are both built on top of JavaScript. Speaking from experience, you'll become a much better developer if you master vanilla JavaScript before trying to move on to extensions of it :)

Theres a mistake in angulartut4.html on your website. The table is not inside the eventCtrl div which means it doesn't have access to the capitals variable on $scope.

Now Angular 2 is in beta version, how much does it affect Angular 1? I'm learning Angular 1 will that not benefit me later when Angular 2 is launched?
@turbojv98098 жыл бұрын
Do you think better to start with angular2 since have changed a lot??
@derekbanas8 жыл бұрын
+Turbo JV I'd learn both. Angular 2 isn't being widely used yet because it is still in beta
