I feel like Sokka dying younger or atleast pretty early in their lives would give a lot of support to how Toph is portrayed in the flashbacks. Being a bit overprotective, especially of Sue, how she seemed really dedicated to her work but also very sad. And we did see in flashbacks that Sokka was targeted by criminals and worked on the council. Its possible that added to her to be more strict and dedicated to her work because she couldnt stop him from getting killed. Who knows, they may never give us the true answer!

My head canon is that while Suki was on a detail for Zuko, Zuko would send something of a blackops team to hunt down rumors about Azula and her cult. Either because of doubt about his relationship with Suki or any number of situations Sokka spent a night with Toph. Toph kept her second daughter a secret from Sokka, and he died never knowing he had conceived a daughter with Toph. Toph just keeping it secret to not hurt Suki. Or they are a throuple and everyone is well aware.

His heart was frozen and Katara found his body lying down some time later. She tried to heal him but she could tell he was already gone. It's a really sad story... In this case it would ruin the characters because it's so out of character for them to behave that way. Sokka would never abandon someone he was responsible for or loved, he's driven to protect those people, it's who he is. It's okay, good even, for characters to make mistakes but they have to be in character for it to make sense.

I don’t know why this video was even made. Sokka and Suki moved to the suburbs somewhere in republic city which has been a thing for a while now. After Sokka went to the south protecting kora, it was probably Suki holding him on his dying breath and after that we assume that she moved back to Kyoshi island which means she’s still probably alive during kora. Sue was probably an accident, maybe Toph and Sokka got drunk one night and Sokka got Toph pregnant but both didn’t realize what they did so they decided to not tell anyone especially Suki since it would’ve been a mistake of what they did.
