@@mundanejasmine Actually the game DOES allow 6 rocks to spawn within 1 grid. The whole grid theory has been debunked, so spawning rocks anywhere on your island is not affected by the grid theory. What may interrupt rocks from spawning is the visibility of rock spawn area

I waited til I was finished decorating my island before and it greatly helped because a lot of rock paths were already placed, so what I did was just add more paths around and it took me a little over a week to get them all spawned. 😊 mine are in a line

Yes. It is random what design that spawns. I’ve done the same when I was unpleased with all stones look the same and wanted variatons.

If you're talking about my extra step with the lines on the map - that has been proven to be false! 6 rocks can spawn within a grid-space. I think those lines are just for visual purposes. It will not interfere with rock spawns. Hope this helps!

I had exactly the same issue!! I thought they were hidden somewhere and I almost went crazy... Make sure there are no cliffs anywhere near your new rock garden. Your rock garden MUST be completely visible from all the different camera angles! I hope your two remaining rocks will spawn🥰

Thankfully all you need to do is break the cliffs, wait for the rocks to spawn in, and you can place the cliffs RIGHT back where they were. It’s just slightly tedious ;) Hope this video helped!

So maybe a dumb question but im doing my rock garden now with the maniquin method and wondering once I have them where I want them in a circle and once all my mannequins are gone and the next day comes won't the rocks move to other open spots again then?

Correct! You only remove the mannequins after all your rocks spawn in. I recommend placing nondiggable paths in a giant square but leaving 6 spaces vacant where you want your rocks to appear. The nondiggable paths are used to prevent a rock from spawning on top of that patch of ground but allows a rock to fill in a vacant spot. Hope this helps!

Yes, I've had this issue too. By the desired rock spawning area, how VISIBLE is it? In my video I showed that the area must be super visible, meaning no items, buildings, etc. can be in front of where you want it to spawn. If every area is completely covered, it is possible that no rocks can spawn at all.

If you do, they may be preventing the rocks from spawning in if they're too close to the designated rock spawning spot. If you do have mannequins in that area, remove them and place non-diggable paths in their place. That way a rock will spawn in the desired spot without a mannequin manipulating the spawning. Does that make sense?

Yes you can! Although you should not use fences until after your rocks all spawn in, for the fences may act like a mannequin and force a rock to not spawn near the fence. But after the rock spawns, you may add any fence you'd like near it!

If your rocks are not spawning anywhere on your island, this means you have forced every spot on your island to not allow a rock to spawn. If you have a zone where you want all your rocks to spawn, make sure the zone is COMPLETELY visible. This means no fences, buildings, cliffs, etc. should be nearby. I believe the rock area shouldn't have anything in front of it for 6+ spaces. All rocks should be able to spawn within the same grid, for that rumor has been debunked. Please let me know if this helps and/or if you have any more questions!

Basically everywhere, except where you desire your rock(s) to appear. You do not need to place them on top of non diggable surfaces, but any open areas should be filled with mannequins as I demonstrated in the video. Your island will have TONS of mannequins everywhere while you await your rocks to spawn in.

Hey there! So it's hard to get a visual for how the area looks without a pic, so would you do your best to describe it to me? Just to troubleshoot, perhaps you have cliffs nearby, or an item, a mannequin that's just barely too close, it's on a cliff edge, etc.

Hey Eden! What may happen is you have completely covered your island in too many mannequins/items that are preventing your last 2 rocks from spawning. I would suggest clearing the area where you want your last 2 rocks to spawn from any objects. Then, fill in the large area with non diggable paths except 2 spaces where you want your rocks to spawn. Does that make sense?

Is there anything remotely close to your last rock spawn location? It's especially important to make sure there isn't anything infront of the desired rock spawn location for roughly 5-7 spaces (you can check by digging holes)

I know I mentioned this is my video, but are you sure all of your rocks are clearly visible, meaning no cliffs, buildings, fences, etc. are in front of your desired rock spawn location? Also, 2 rocks cannot be directly next to each other, there must be at least 1 space between each rock in case you were doing that.

@@KirstenC546 Do you happen to have a picture somewhere that shows how your garden looks? If so I can take a look to visually see if there are any errors. A very common issue I have researched is that something can visually block the rock from spawning, so if you just create a very wide area surrounding your rock garden with non diggable paths, that may help. Otherwise I have left a link in my description to a Reddit thread where many people ask rock garden questions that may be answered that are similar to your errors.

Mannequins are the most efficient for both clean up and for forcing a rock to not spawn near it. If you plant a weed, it only prevents the rock from spawning ontop of it. Can you describe the area where you want your rocks to appear?

I tried looking up your question on the internet and I couldn't find an answer. If I were to guess, I'd say rocks cannot spawn next to a custom design. I recommend removing any custom designs until all your rocks spawn in. Then once they've all spawned in, you will be able to place the custom designs next to the rocks again

@@RELM0014 actually in my experience it, doesn't interrupt rock spawns. Rocks can spawn next to flowers/weeds, just not on them. They basically act like any of the nondiggable paths. It doesn't interrupt the rock to spawn next to it, however the rock will never go ontop of it. If you decide to remove everything besides the nondiggable paths, know you'll be able to place anything back once the rocks spawn in

As long as you can change the design on the mannequin, they'll despawn. Do if you used a custom design from another creator, I'm sorry but you'll have to redo it with a design that you made :(

It is completely fine to cover your island with mannequins not of your own creation. The purpose of mannequins is to interrupt rocks from spawning in specific areas. The benefit of using your own mannequin design is that you can instantly make them disappear by "changing the design" as I showed in the video. Since you cannot do that with the mannequins you placed that were not created by you, you will manually need to pick all of them up after all your rocks spawn it. It will be much quicker to pick them up than it was to place them though!

Hi there! If the area where the desired rock is absolutely visible from all angles and there are no objects, walls, buildings, etc. nearby, it may have spawned in a strange spot where a mannequin or whatever you used may not have properly blocked off that area. So I'd recommend scouting through your entire island to make sure there isn't a 6th rock in a strange area. If you have a lot of flower areas, I recommend starting looking around there first. Please keep me updated in case this does/doesn't help!

Is your desired rock spawning location very visible? Make sure there are no cliffs, buildings, or any items anywhere near where you want your rocks to spawn. Most people have this be their issue. I'd shoot for 6 spaces or more until they all spawn in. Otherwise is your garden flat with nondiggable spaces everywhere except the 6 rock spawning spots?

Not true! At the time this was a controversial issue but has been proven false. You can, in fact, have all 6 rocks within an acre. If you are having issues spawning your other 2 rocks, it is due to another issue. If you have any problems, please feel free to reply and I'll help in any way I can!
