I never in my life thought I would be interested in this lmfao, it’s almost 4am and I’ve been binging acnh videos and it’s to a point where I’ve seen almost everything you’ve had to offer…and then I’m hit with a 2hr vocab breakdown of AcNH. I love the internet

I don't understand why they spell certain words with katakana even if they're not loan words, like at 58:14 "オススメ" instead of "お勧め". Are they emphasising these words or what is going on?

Interestingly enough, at the start, they also say 「こんばんは」So depending on the time of day you start the game, it will say either or, not sure if English is the same way too.

Hello! :) I've been loving your videos so much, as I've been trying to learn Japanese for some time and I would like to learn it through games :) I just wanted to know a couple of things. I don't have a tonne of consoles (PS4, switch and 3ds). I've been trying to figure out what to grab games for in Japanese. I know DS games are basic which is good but would mean getting a JP region DS. So I guess I'm asking, switch games? Or invest in a japanese ds or sony handheld?
@sylviaswayne3 жыл бұрын
The regular DS is not region locked, and Japanese DS games can be played on any 3DS. The 3DS is region locked though, so you can’t play Japanese 3DS games on a U.S. 3DS. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass in Japanese is great for learning Japanese
