There's a spectrum of the word "the carnivore diet" - basically it is animal products only. In that scenario, the basic version of this recipe here really does count as carnivore. Eggs, dairy and pork rinds are still animal products. We ignore the small details like baking soda and salt. Some people are mostly carnivore but they allow condiments. Some people are more strict. Carnivore can mean meat only. I think that's what most people mean when they say carnivore, but a lot of people do the version with eggs and butter too, maybe also cheese and yogurt. Some people are even more strict, like the lion diet, which is 100% beef only. Some people do even more strict, like grass fed only or organic only or nose to tail, which means the whole body including organs and broth. There's also a similar diet, no plants GAPS which is the GAPS diet with no plants, animal products only. The gaps diet is based on the book by neurologist and nutritionist natasha Campbell Mcbride. Gaps stands for gut and psychology syndrome and gut and physiology syndrome. She has written several amazing books and also cured her son of autism, which is the reason she went to nutrition school in the first place, because neurology had nothing to offer. Anyway theres a large variety of the meaning of carnivore. There's also ketovore and animal based, which are diets focused on animal-products, less or no carbs, and higher fat.

Very good analogy and break down. We started this Animal based diet off of the version of Carnivore diet with safer fruits, maple, honey and herbs. It is basically Carnivore with low carbs of safer non or low toxic foods. It is a good way to transition from a standard American diet to dirty Carnivore to strict Carnivore without the side effects of going straight into Carnivore. I have always believed from my research that Animal based was the way to go because our body may can live without carbs, but it does need some very low to optimize certain things. They are now finding that you do need a few a day to produce insulin storage. That your body will stop producing it at all. It has more uses than just the normal getting rid of excess sugar as we think. You don’t need a lot but some. The best way to know what works for you is to get to strict Carnivore stage and then add in one thing back at a time. When you feel bad then you know that food isn’t for you and where your diet should set. Thanks for all your tips and comments.

It’s very good! Soft like bread and not foamy like the egg white bread recipes.

Wonderfully done! clear and on point instructions! I need to get a jug of pork rinds and try this one. Awesome collection of links in the description but I don't see one for your egg separator. (i wanted to see you clip the egg whites on camera just for the entertainment value but I get that you are about instructions and not showing off what you have already told us.) You know how it is, somebody always has to pick out that one thing, and today I'm the skunk peering in at the kitchen door. 🤣 just a thought, I wonder how dried egg white protein would do. After I try your successful method I will try that. You'd still need yolks though so maybe that won't be as good.

Do you cook alot out of the Carnivore code? I bought it and was disappointed because most everything is loaded with carbs! I've heard Paul Salidino is no longer carnivore he's a high carb guy! I've listened to some of his stuff and didn't like it he's promoting sugar and all the crap we are trying to get away from, at least for the initial cleanse. Any thoughts? I'm curious
@AnimalBasedInYourFace8 ай бұрын
Yes I do agree with you. Paul is pretty much an athlete. He surfs three hours every day. That’s why he can burn off the carbs. He still brings a lot to the table for nutrition, though. It looks like with new research his opinion of some carbs daily is actually true. They are finding that you do need some carbs to keep certain hormones in line and to not bottom out insulin production. Some people do better than others with this and can live without carbs for years. Eating a few carbs a day, but keeping in ketosis allows your body to still produce insulin and store it for use. It doesn’t necessarily mean your body uses insulin for glucose suppression but it’s there in case you need it. Your body does use small amounts to regulate hormones and some molecular cell exchanges. We have found for most people, less than 20-25 carbs per meal is fine. So a little honey on carnivore bread or maple syrup on carnivore waffles is still in line. But I agree, half a jar of honey on a steak, no way!!! Thank you for the excellent question.

@@AnimalBasedInYourFace Thanks for these details. You make the points very clearly understood. Some little amount of carbs is okay and actually works in your favor. "He surfs three hours every day." 🤯So I guess he does burn off some carbs! 🤣

Thank you for sharing! Does it have a strong pork rind flavor?
@AnimalBasedInYourFace10 ай бұрын
No not to us. We do use pork rinds in many recipes and also for breading. They are a great substitute! This bread is very filling with lots of protein and good fat.

I noticed that the convection fan of the oven wasn't working. Was that on purpose?
@AnimalBasedInYourFace11 ай бұрын
Yes. We bake on normal mode with our recipes because most people don’t have convection ovens. When we bake with convection for ourselves we lower the temp 25 degrees and bake time is shorter.

Obviously this isn’t carnivore. I’m a little confused on the “animal based” theme. Isn’t that the same as omnivore? Since most of your recipes contain both animal and plant based ingredients, why is it called animal based?
@AnimalBasedInYourFace11 ай бұрын
Animal based is Carnivore with some added non-toxic fruits, some honey and maple syrup. It is a clean way of eating getting rid of toxic plants, seeds and grains. Paul Saladino converted to this lifestyle from Carnivore. Omnivores eat toxic plants.
@JeffKeenerRCJH9 ай бұрын
I'd argue that it is carnivore if you forego the honey.
