Saying the black bear is the best bear is a great to antagonize someone (Dwight) who knows a lot about bears. That said, black bears are great. Did you know there is a subspecies of black bear called a cinnamon bear? Go google them. You won't be disappointed.

@@animalogic well black bear is best because it's far more versatile especially as forests get smaller and the versatility of the black bear puts its higher up than the base power and size of the brown bear. so it's less of being antagonistic and more about looking at the current and future placement of the creature.

i feel like wildlife photography should just phase out recreational hunting in its entirety. It's the same thrill and many of the same tracking techniques but you're not murdering an innocent animal for sport!

I wonder if grizzlies get a little extra boost of pride when they catch a salmon in their mouth when it jumps into the air. Like, "yeah, gotcha!" Sure, I'll bet they're just happy with the ones they get by dunking their faces into the water, but it's probably extra special to catch one in mid air.

It's about to die, bear or no bear. Salmon only spawn once in their lifecycle. Their adrenal glands go into overdrive, giving them the strength to swim upstream but also completely wrecking their immune system and inner organs.

Also a fun fact about bears and the Great Bear Rainforest I learned while at the U.B.C, the Great Bear Rainforest has the highest net primary productivity per capita partially due to the fact that bears leave salmon corpses on the ground and their bodies fertilize plants.
