To be clear, most of these animals aren't being "freed". They are going from horrible, inhumane versions of captivity to large, beautiful, outdoor enclosures. Animals that have spent too long in captivity can't survive in the wild, so we do the next best thing. In some ways, living in a large, outdoor enclosure is better than being wild... much safer, don't need to worry about food, etc.

I understand what you are saying but these poor animals were tortured and confined for years enduring medical experiments or factory farming. They are now unburdened from the fear of daily pain or certain death.

Agreed but turning institutionalised animals out into a wilderness and expecting them to survive is not going to happen. They don't know what food is or how to shelter. They haven't seen rain or storms. They shut down with overwhelm. Choice and options and respect is about all that can be offered and hope for the best.

I have mixed feelings about zoos though, which is why I've never been to one in my entire life.

@@daphneytennard3267 Some are, some are used as entertainment in a circus they live in filthy cramped cages. And others are killed so that their heads are hung on walls. Elephants because of the Ivory. Rhino's horns are taken, you name it humans have done a lot of damage, we originally were meant to be caretakers of the animals and earth. But that hasn't happened.

Chimps are my least favourite of the monkey world but watching these boys hugging and staring in awe at the wonders around them. My favourite is of the tigers playing in the water for probably the first time. God bless you all for saving these beautiful animals 🙏 ❤

"You can see the excitement and relief on the faces of these animals"... You can see that whoever wrote this script doesn't really know how to read the faces of these animals. "Excitement and relief" doesn't describe most of them at all. Is more a look of wonder than anything. Sort of a "Wow... what is.. woah, is this grass? The air is so nice! wah...." The amount of sensory overload, wonder and joy on these animals, especially the chimps, is something most people will never really experience.

I'm not an animal lover per say but I'm not definitely against cruelty to animals. People here in Florida are freaking out about bears coming into their yards looking for food and things but what are they supposed to do? They have no where to go. Florida is building more and more everyday and one day there be no more wild animals. Sad truth

Those tigers were being rescued by four paws. It’s a holding area to get the big cats ready for the next part of their journey. They all needed up at Lions Rock in South Africa. It takes a lot of organising to firstly to “ rescue” the animal and then to be allowed to move it. I have been involved in animal rescue with many large rescue organisations and in every case we had problems moving animals from on part of the world to another due to politics. It amazes me that it can take years to do this legally and a few weeks if you are an animal smuggler. Strange.

Yeah, the pigeons are released, and then they race each other back to their cages. It was touching to see the Macaw Caregiver cry as he was seeing his favorite birds take to the sky. He loved them. Seeing them go was breaking his heart, but he was giving them his blessings and wishing them luck. They'll meet again in Heaven. Thumbs up!

Those tigers should have some trees, and green plants in their enclosures! So desert and barren! It was heartbreaking to see the shocked reaction of the lion - he looked scared and unsure - the king of animals! So sad.

Thankyou for finding a way to enrich these animals lives, although still sad they are in cages, however I think/ know I understand why you can't 'just' release them back where they belong. These new environments are 100% better than what they have had previously. Watching the lion when he walks out is beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time, the chimps, their faces show complete awe at what's around then, sunshine, the breeze, and how they hug each other for reassurance . I hate cages! This is amazing to see but on the flip side these animals can't survive in the wild after so long in captivity. Lions especially because other lions will kill them on sight. They will never know True Freedom. I'm so grateful that these animal lovers are willing and able to grant them the next best thing. This should never happen. Born wild, live wild. It's horrific what we subject animals to. I visited a zoo some years ago, I couldn't believe they still existed. The big cats in the glass fronted enclosure lay with their backs against the glass despite tourists throwing things at it to make them turn around or move. Yesterday I watched an old 30's movies that took place in a circus and there were a few lions never out on grass, just in their cages or being used as props.
