20:40 My God, their faces are both pure gold when they hear about the hyenas. Nate looks like he's experiencing incredulous shock and horror, not yet ready to believe what he's being told, while Nick just looks grief-stricken and repulsed, like he might cry, puke or both.

What's odd about cheetahs is that a solution to their issues exist; teamwork. Some male cheetah siblings work together and can bring down much larger prey and maintain their kills easier. Yet for whatever reason, they insist on being solitary

@@TheGraveKnight I honestly wonder sometimes if the cheetahs we have now are the descendants of domesticated (truly domesticated) cheetahs from ancient Egypt or someplace similar that never quite managed to become wild again but did well enough to not go extinct.

@@TheGraveKnight Yeah. We help and hurt in almost equal measure, it seems. (A lot of species *love* following in our wake.) Then again, a large predator moving into an ecosystem is going to shake things up, tool use or not. I wonder if scientists have nailed down when the genetic bottleneck happened with cheetahs.

I love the way Casual Geographic words things. It’s such comedy and it’s delivered so deadpan that my brain isn’t sure if I should laugh or nod my head because I’m genuinely fascinated by what he’s saying. 😂

Honestly, there are way too many good vids on Casual Geographic's channel to choose to recommend; even his oldest ones, when they were just compilations of his TikToks, are still top tier. Thus, ANY video of his is worth watching. I can confidently say I've watched all of them. He's the reason I know hippos and chimps are terrifying, that sharks are beating out dolphins in one of my favorite ocean videos, and that we need a new movie based on the wolves in Yellowstone, especially animated (so, I guess if I had to recommend one, it would be "The Wolf Who Would Be King", just so you can understand why we need that movie) Also, one of my favorite quotes comes from his first vid: "If it's brown, get on the ground. If it's black, fight back. If it's white... you finna die!"

Lol that fiddler crab reminded me of that one guy from this horror movie "Lady in the water" Anyways the crab reminded me of him because in the movie the guy basically decided to do an experiment to see how buff he could get one of his arms. There is also apparently a professional arm wrestler that has just one MASSIVE arm and when you look at his other arm it's like a branch in comparison to a log. XD

Listening to the commentary at the end, I feel like in general, fast food below the Mason-Dixon is just a higher tier than us Yankees get. Like, I feel like around here, you'll have the one really good "fast food" place that's actually more like a hybrid fast food/sit-down place (usually a Culvers or Portillos or Schoops or Five Guys or Firehouse Subs/Jersey Mikes/Potbelly), the one place that's decent enough (usually like a Dairy Queen, Chick-Fil-A, Bozos Hot Dogs, Subway/Quiznos/Jimmy Johns, KFC/Popeyes, or Wendy's), and the one place you go just because it's convenient (usually a Burger King or Mickey D's). Whereas once you get below the Ohio, I feel like everything is just better. (Note: I am excluding pizza shops and chain sit-down restaurants. Those don't count as fast food. B-Dubs is not fast food. Little Cesar's is not fast food. Those are other things entirely)

So, a reason sloths leave the trees is, due to the fact they only shit once a week, the pure volume of crap is, I think around a quarter to maybe half their body weight, meaning every time they take a crap, every week, they most likely go through as much strain and maybe even pain as giving birth, which, sucks.

25:24 I'm not so sure about that since most predators have a hunting success of ~50% on average, and with how many hunts they have to go on to not... well... die, that would probably make it so the animal never survived to adulthood. Or if it did, the chances it'd survive long enough to reproduce and successfully raise offspring are exponentially low. How cheetahs run expends so much energy that they need to rest afterwards, but they won't die unless they've consistently failed to catch prey for long enough and can't scavenge from other predators. No shade, I love you guys but animals are a particular favorite subject of mine so I felt like commenting. I'm very happy you've reacted to Casual Geographic, and I personally recommend "10 Horrible Ways Animals Can End You" or "The Wolf Who Would Be King" as good ones to do next if you want to continue reacting to him Edits for spelling and because I looked it up and cheetahs have a hunting success rate of around 40%, which is pretty close to my estimate
