Well, Sari is a hard one to transplant. She has a very specific origin that isn't easy to recreate. Some kid named Whitwicky who encounters the Autobots by circumstance? Easy, totally doable whenever you have a fresh start. A protoform that reacted to human DNA of a tinkerer who would reverse engineer tech from a Cybertronian who was badly injured and practically comatose until a robotics industry empire is forged? That is much more specific and fundamentally built into the story. Don't get me wrong, Sari is cool conceptually and there's plenty of room for her to be taken in interesting directions, but the uniqueness that sets her apart makes her harder to recreate in other settings.

Excellent video! I was glad to contribute Sparkplug and even moreso to see that design in this video. I really do miss the streams held by Derrick and Josh, it was so clear how much love they put into not just the Shattered Glass designs (which they always seemed to have fun with, down to those awesome "teasers" for the streams depicting various iterations of their avatars) but other cool recolors and unrealized designs. Really hope there's a good collection of the VODs somewhere, I'd love to give them a listen again. Thank you for reminding me of those good times with the video and helping to catalog those efforts!

I did have a concept for SG Jetfire and Jetstorm, with Jetfire being green and gray, partially as an homage to his Cybertron namesake (which is why the twins have an Australian rather than a Russian accent), and Jetstorm being black and purple to homage Universe Skywarp, a KayBee exclusive redeco of Beast Machines Jetstorm. It's literally a (D)ouble homage, though - I'd been watching Emgo's reviews of Kamen Rider Double figures, and given that series' side-to-side character merges, I envisioned Jetfire as Cyclone and Jetstorm as Joker, with Safeguard homaging Double. [I do see that Kabuki's takes on the characters are somewhat similar, but purple for Jetfire and green for Jetstorm.]

I wonder if, in relation to Sari's DNA assimilation idea. Sari is one of a line of drones. Sent long long ago, to integrate and learn about other worlds and species. And when they learned enough, they would maybe construct a space bridge, or space bridge like structure. To return, but also allow for any potential return visits. This all having been lost to time, and the current version of the bridges, are a rediscovered technology. In the way steam power was invented long before its recorded use in history. And that too including why she has knowledge she doesn't know about consciously, and can cohabitate as she does.

I've never been a fan of the TFA's weird continuity, but I've always wanted toys of Sari where she can be human then have her tutor bot, TF armor with blades, skates, and rocket pack; then a toy set of prof Sumdac but included is a chair and computer and a giant head of Megatron with little wires that can tab into the computer and other animated figures but also transforms into his full bot design

I’m forever disappointed in Hasbro for this blunder I mean jot only did we miss out on a Shattered Glass episode but we also missed out on; 1. The Autobots dealing with their own version of the Friends of Humanity called S.T.E.A.M 2. Bumblebee ending up on a planet of Minicons and being worshiped as their god 3. Seeing the Energon Farm were Bulkhead was raised 4. Prowls being a Ghost and hopefully returning like Blurr but not the same of course 5. Blackarachnia creating the Maximals 6. A What If scenario with Optimus becoming a technoorganic spider-bot while Elita-1 leads the team 7. Sari going to Autobot school and learning about her Cybertronian heritage from Arcce and most important of all 8. Sari discovering her origins I can only hope Hasbro pulls their heads out their asses and finally make Season 4 for us fans and Derrick they did so good with Transformers One they have it in them (I’d also prefer it if all of Optimus’s team were sent to the alternate world instead of just Sari and Bulkhead as suggested in the early plans after Megatron’s mess of a trial the early plans for Season 4 had the most interesting episode ideas)
