Even though she means to eradicate Horton's perceived obsession over a dandelion clover, she did not mean to do it in the circumstance of not believing Horton when he tries repeatedly that he can hear voices of microscopic lifeforms on that clover; the entire thing was more of a misunderstanding than just outright committed murder.

She still nearly killed an entire civilization. A misunderstanding does not excuse the near mass-murder, especially considering that even after her own son began to hear the voices, she still tried to snatch the clover from him to destroy it.

Nimona, it’s on Netflix. It was one of the blue sky films in production before Blue Sky was shut down by disney. The project was 75% complete at the time. Annapurna pictures and Netflix revived the project. It’s my fav Blue Sky film I recommend.
