So this SH Figuarts One Piece Monkey D. Luffy Gear 5 Action Figure is interesting to say the least. At the time that I have uploaded this review I still haven’t exactly decided on how I feel about the figure itself. It was a very strange review for me and it feels like a very strange figure due to the fact that I am not used to any company making some of the decisions Tamashii this time around. I’m not going to say that the idea was bad, but the execution was definitely not the greatest. I feel like there were several different routes. They could’ve taken to maximize the effectiveness.  at the end of the day it is still a fun figure to have and I highly recommend it to anyone. That being said, just make sure you are completely aware of what you’re buying before you choose to make the purchase. As long as you have an understanding of that, I feel that, you might still enjoy it. Overall, that is my review and I hope that you guys had fun. The arm does bend but most people recommend taking it off then bending it because it is VERY stiff

Yeah. Either that or keep one hand on the shoulder as support while using the other to flex. It is stiff, but that gives me more hope that it's durable.

You can still catch up if you binge it or read the manga, note one piece is entering the final SAGA not arc so we might have another 2 to 3 years which is plenty of time to catch up while understanding the story and characters

I love how this figure looks, but I HATE handling it. I'm not big on the articulation choices, joints wise and honestly it's just not fun for me when I try to pose him. He looks great though, so I'm happy to put him in one pose forever and just display him like that for life lol (also happy you get a stand with this one)

This figure is just full of poor choices and some people are justifying it calling it one of the best SHFs, thank you for being honest and point it out, I have to pop off the normal arms, pose them and then pop it back and still the range is not that good, Tamashii Nations had a chance to recycle arms and legs from previous Luffy, add everything good with this figure and have an excellent release.

@@czms922 Bendy wire in the short arms is a poor choice, the shorts being re designed to look worse and work worse is a poor choice, the flappy things in the shorts for this one is a poor choice cause they're useless, the legs with wire don't need them cause they never reach that far back because of the wire. Those poor choices to be specific.

This is definitely an interesting figure for sure. Just that it's sold out at most places I buy SHF from and now goes about $140 from scalpers. I hope it gets a rerelease soon as it's a regular release.

Ace if you ever wanna pose his Elbows farther than usual so you don't break it you should take it off first before bending it, and if you ever break the arm joints you can use The Figma Demon Slayer Wrist Joints to fix it🤍

Probaly bandai or a third party company will realease a joints limbs pack Overal isnt as bad as zoro was i think its pretty solid but yeah maybe we have to be really carefull with the bendy limbs specially the normal arms i recomend remove them before bend them but overall its a good figure(not the best but far to be awful) It looks kinda cool with classic Cartoon figures tho(like the Popeye one)

I appreciate the honesty thanks to you I snapped out of the hype train everyone was gasing up this figure but nah I hate the bendy legs especially cause I hear the peg is tiny and it stresses them when you bend the arms also that cloud looks annoying this is one of those figures that doesn’t look good to just handle and that to me is a must

I've noticed on mine that the arm sleeve part is slowly ripping from the rest of the arm,so I'm not sure whether its becaude of me bending to hard or if that it's breaking apart due to wear.

As someone who dropped One Piece over a decade ago... what's the big deal with Gear 5 Luffy? I just watched another video about a completely different product, the One Piece TCG, where the debut of Gear 5 set sold out instantly and couldn't even keep supply with pace of demand.
