Hearing him talk about Larrikins/Bilby made me so sad. He sounded so happy and proud to show/talk about this hard-working project to the world. Especially after YEARS of working on projects that were never seen by the world. He seemed confident that this one was it! That this Australian Animated Musical will be released! Only to have Larrikins/Bilby shelved some time after this current animation lesson was filmed. I really, really hope that it wasn't canceled completely. That it was just shelved and could be picked up later - hopefully soon. I know thousands of people, including me, wanted to watch a full film in such a setting/theme. Larrikins/Bilby looked so beautiful and very well animated so I have hope for it despite it being 4yrs since we've had any real info about it.

@cloudshifter3 жыл бұрын
@@locallylocal Yeah student loan is a big scam so you can owe them for years. Suprisingly it's actually wiser to get a job for a year or 2 to pay for the school yourself.

I love this episode. It's amazing that I can freely get these kinds of insider tips from an animator who works in one of the world's best animations studios. Just a decade ago, this was a privilege only available to a smaller percentage of the world's population.

That tip about collaborating and growing a thicker skin is so true! When I first started, I was so reluctant to getting feedback because I would get very protective of my work but since I have had many people telling this advice and I see how my animator mates were improving because of this, I decided to open myself to it and now I have learned to take it as I should, like a way to improve and see what other people think works and doesn't work. It has helped me a bunch!

The best advice I've ever heard (sorry don't remember from where) is that, you're the artist, but everyone is a critique, you may not be a film maker but you can say a movie is bad, you may not not a game dev but you can say a game is bad because of this or that. Same goes for art, everyone is critique because art is feeling (obviously film and game are arts too, I'm just making an example). Don't just toss away criticism, it's the cheat to progress, take it from friends or other artists, it's gold
