Animation process.1 -Dog runcycle-

AYO, if you watch me on deviantart then you might've noticed that I've gotten into animation lately (I try, very hard)
Here's a snippet of the process, starting in the middle, and ending before some real repetitive clean-up+Line-thikening (you'll understand seeing the comparison at the end)
I animated using the program "FireAlpaca", and turned the frames into a gif, using a gif creator website

So my dog died this morning. I've spent with him 14 lovely years, loving and taking care of him every day. He was a friend, a part of my family. And we will always love him. And I will always miss him. That dog reminds me of him, running happily, maybe in a better place. This video is so beautifully made that I cried like a baby (as if I hadn't cried enough...) It’s also very helpful to slow a video down of an actual dog running and see which leg extends first and all:) I haven’t even ever animated before but whenever I see something animated I can tell when they’ve watched a slow motion for reference of how things movee

This is amazing!! The only thing I would say to look out for is that the front legs and the back legs are not on the same lead, so it makes the movement look a bit odd to me, but otherwise I just love your art, I'd like to practice enough so I would be as good as you! :3

i'm surprised that you use firealpaca to animate. But it is a good program to use and i actually use it myself(even though i can't really draw). But thought that this was really cool and smooth

Can I ask how you did the clean sketch,, lineart, etc.? I just got Firealpaca and I'm having trouble figuring that out. I know this is old but I've watched you since I was young and trust your work. How do you do the layers with the lineart?

How do you keep the limbs and head a consistent size? I always have to copy and paste the head just to keep it proportionate

This one! gifcreator.me/ It's real useful,, you can still, after uploading the file/s, duplicate frames, change the duration of specific frames,, change the overall size, etc The only thing I had to be mindful of, is the size of the file itself. Too many frames and too big proportions don't go along,, it'll just stop loading and you'll have to redo any edits and try for smaller sizes ;x but I think that's more just a common trouble, than it being specific to this site
