How do you shoot reference for lip sync? Audio over speakers or with headphones?

I do several video reference including only recording my mouth to avoid chattery in my lip sync and get good mouth shapes, also first I listen the audio over and over until I memorize it

I do speakers, I feel more the energy and concentrate more on the acting when I have the audio has an ambience more than using it in my ears

Ender Perez Yeah memorizing is good, anything you can do to make your performance more relaxed and truthful.

Best...Thumbnail...EVER! Also I film reference with headphone audio a couple of times and then I remove the audio all together and do some takes. It's a lot more natural especially when I accidentally paraphrase.
