Holy shit. Thank you getting me out of my comfort zone and learning some volumetric shading!

I absolutely love all of this anime inspired blender work

You're not limited to the 3D textures that comes with Blender; there is a lot that can be done with math nodes, it's almost a programing language in itself. Sure, there are some limits, like not being able to do arbitrarily long loops, and conditional branching basically involves running all the branches simultaneously and multiplying unwanted branches by zero before adding them all together; but there is still a huge potential there.

This and your previous vid are outstanding. Thank you for taking the time to break down and explain the process. Looking forward to see what you get up to next.

OK, this is great. For majority of folks it would be much easier to follow if you would record the process from scratch. Good stuff. Keep on going.

Yo my guy these anime style shader videos are amazing!! I would like to request a fighting swoosh effect, if possible

just a tip, you can do automated scrolling by adding a driver to the mapping node and using render.fps and frame_current to make sort of a time node. For example at standards 24 fps frame_current / (render.fps * X) where X = 1 will get you a scrolling at 1m every 24 frames. Of course, you can increase or decrease the X value to slow down or speed up the scrolling. Side note: the driver has to use single property -> scene for each variable

Definitely going to try this one. Might be interesting to mess with the mesh with some modifiers.

Would you mind sharing a screenshot with each nodes settings visible? Also: How do you prevent rendering the whole cube?

Hi can u make video on tutorial series on each now with the each option inside it. A complete tutorial series on CYCLES & EEVEE. Im a learner for Blender but when comes to nodes feel to run away from Blender. Plz i request to make a series with detail information with example how it works what is order to use the nodes. Which and where and how connect node and get effects, etc. Thanks

You think you could try to pull off the Ultra Instinct aura effect from Dragon Ball Super using this technique? BTW, I recently subscribed to your channel today.
@BluePhoenixAlex5 жыл бұрын
I think you could. You would just have to alter the mask colour ramps to start in the center of the volume, rather than the edge

Thanks for the heads up. I just mention that The technique was used in uncharted 3 when the sound cuts out

@Poison Sumac what issue are you running into? I'm not going to upload completed effects because I would like people to make these for themselves instead of just using the already built effect without learning anything.

@Poison Sumac no worries, happens to everyone, including myself. work like this is 20% art and 80% debugging and figuring out whats wrong. glad to hear that you figured it out and it sounds like you learned some stuff along with it. I would also go and check to see what happened with the effect when you had the nodes in a different configuration. some of my best ideas come from accidentally doing something earlier and remembering that it made a cool look I could use for something else later.
