Not gonna lie; never watched this one. Its a case where the name causes me to not have interest. But watching you win stuff is a great way to see the good points of a series. Might watch it now. I am sure its on your radar but I am super hyped to see your wins videos for a couple of series this season. Second time summoned Unrivaled in the real world Aristocrat isekai one The Legendary hero is already dead Those 4 I expect to be great videos where you find a lot of wins and fresh takes on things... Oh yeah Oshi No Ko also. It has some serious good moments in episode 1 (movie length by the way) that have me thinking of Skip Beat combined with Fruits Basket oddly enough.

I seen a video of someone breaking down the different styles of handling firearms that characters in the show use. Short version, Takina takes up a standard target shooting stance, showing her experience being mostly at range and with cover. Meanwhile, Chisato uses styles that are specific to CQC, firearm tucked in close rather than outstretched arms, even going so far as to call out others on their lack of CQC experience as seen when she bodies and disarms Sakura. She is far more confident at close range than most of the other Lycoris and the show reflects that in her handling in CQC.

The voice acting was done so early in the production. That they told the VAs to improvise a lot and then animated to it. Easily one of my favorite voice acting performances.

When Chisato was basically dying, but "ignoring" it and doing her best at the job I felt that. It's kind of like when you're sad, but you're forcing yourself to appear energetic so people don't notice. She felt very fake at that time. Like she was ignoring what Takina was saying and going all out just to avoid thinking about the problem, to not feel it.

On a personal note: Just wanted to say I was very depressed seeing the initial views of this video, (after 15 minutes of launching) and felt sad but returning after 35 minutes, it's currently #8/10 and after weeks of each new video performing at #10/10 (the poorest) it at least gives me hope. Thanks to each and everyone of you who care and help me out everytime I ask, I rarely do it and I'd never do it if everything was fine, but it's a wonderful feeling to know you're out there ready to aid if I ever call, it's truly inspiring. On another note for those that love my dogs, Titan has had poorly eyes since Wednesday, we took him to an appointment and got told it was dry eye, but after we weren't happy with his progress, we took him on Friday, (02/12/2022) to another vet who said his eyes were at serious risk of losing their sight! We drove through the night to an emergency specialist far away from our home and at 11:00pm till 00:30 he had surgery done on his right eye which saved it and thankfully he's now been given drops for the rest of his life as it turns out he has glaucoma in both. Thankfully the surgery was a success and today he's had his eyes opened fully and is looking so much better now. Thanks to everyone who cares and asks how the boys are doing, (Thor is fine) it means a lot to my wife and I and to everyone who helps out with Patreon/tipping etc, we're not rich, we get by and I try my best to provide services in exchange, I'll never take you for granted. the Rock Paper Scissors b-plot deserves it's own win. it shows us that Chisato is not an all powerfull Mary-Sue, but that she can be outsmarted, outplayed, and knocked out of balance.

Still cant believe my suggestion got picked, I'm overjoyed! Want to thank everyone on patreon for supporting this pick and just being an absolute Chads! Its still sad to hear that these videos are not doing well(how does Kaguya-sama S3 have only 30k views!?), your content is amazing and it deserves all the praises and more! As for Lycoris Recoil, A-1 Pictures just came out of nowhere with this incredible original anime and straight up bangers animation. They worked on shows like Kaguya-sama and 86 in the last year and a half and they somehow pulled this crazy rabbit out of their hat! I could talk about this story and its characters for hours, every fucking episode had me on the edge of my seat! If I have to praise something that should be voice acting, Takina & Chisato of course, but other characters were also beyond amazing(mainly Majima, Mika, Kurumi and Mizuki)! My favorite line from Chisato is 100% her scream after shooting at Mr.Yoshi. She admired him so much,built her way of life based on words and things she recieved from him, and then to not just see that it was all a lie but also to be pushed to shoot at him. That scream still hits way too hard, even now. As for Takina, I feel like "The heart is getting away" line is a clear winner.She changed so much after meeting Chisato and others, she would still pull the trigger but this time its for the sake of saving her friends life. This shows was beyond incredible, I hope this video gets more views because it definitely deserves it! Guys, please give this video a Like guys and of course subscribe!(join Patreon too if you are able!) Quick Edit: Forgot to mention this but the ED song is a straight banger! This show ended less than 3 months ago yet that song gives me heavy nostalgia feels every time I listen to it, how is that even possible!?

absolutely loved the show just wanted to point out that theres this flower called "lycoris radiata" (the red spider lily) which basically represents death. so naming the assassin girls "lycoris" and their AI computer thingie "radiata" is kind of genius imo

My favorite anime of 2022. I almost didn't watch it 'cause the synopsis didn't sound interesting, but I identified with this anime in a way I rarely do. I'm autistic with ADHD, and Chisato invokes my ADHD, social side, while Takina invokes my logical, rational, driven autistic side. (With a side of social awkwardness to both!)

Also, I'm glad although not specifically mentioned, the scene with Takina sneaking that punch in got 2 max wins. That was peak with how swift and satisfying it was.

this anime is one of the kind with very good casting of voice actors. each of them bring their A game. dialogues flow so naturally. Also production manage to balance the SoL and intense moment perfectly. and animation is clean! love this anime

I'm going to be completely honest here, I think that Lycoris Recoil has actually been my favourite anime to come out of this year, it just feels kinda perfect in my opinion. It's got it all, great animation, good soundtrack, incredible voice acting, comedy, dark stuff - got it all to the perfect amount. The show feels like pure anime itself, the Neo-like bullet dodging, armour-piercing non-lethal bullets. I was genuinely blown away at just how good Lycoris Recoil was when I watched every episode when it aired, and this just proves that those feelings still hold true. (Edit) I also think that the Ending of the series was really good, and am torn on if whether or not I think it should get a second season. While I do love the anime to bits and obviously want to see more of it and see how the characters develop, I also think that maybe it should just end there. It had a really good plot and a nice ending, so I don't want it to be tarnished with a possible bad second season, as then it will just be another anime with an extremely solid first season and a bad second.

An anime-original series that had absolutely no right being as good as it was (and A-1 Pictures pulled that off twice in one season with this and Engage Kiss). This series had me sold within the first 3 minutes with what appeared to be random school girls capping what appeared to be random people on the street. It had completely stolen my heart at the end of episode 3 when Takina smiled for the first time after Chisato helped her get her revenge against her former teammates. And then, as the season was playing out its end and Chisato at death's door, being 80% certain that she's going to survive at the end, but despair building with each passing moment because every avenue of survival was out of reach for her.

A little detail I like is when Chisato is stoping Takina from shooting her savior. As they are getting away all you hear is one last shot followed by "click click click click". Just showing Takina's anger with every trigger pull.

I love this show and everything it does. We get cute girls doing counter-terrorism, consistently fluid animation, a gorgeous soundtrack, killer audio design, an amazing story, and it left enough room for a second season without making this season feel incomplete. Also, I can easily recommend the dub for this, too. The EN actors bring the characters to life just as well as the JP cast.

This is such a good review, although I'd add 10 more wins for how good of an up-to-interpretation subtext yuri it was. Whether you see them as lovers (which happens to be the case here, forgive my himejoshi brain) or just precious friends, it will work, because it's just implicit enough to be perfectly up to interpretation, while also being pure serotonin. Every sweet moment they share together is guaranteed cuteness aggression. AHHH, Chisataki's chemistry is so amazing...

So, something interesting about Chisato's voice actor (Chika Anzai) - she actually plays a character named "Reina Kousaka" from the anime "Sound! Euphonium" - Reina has black hair, purple eyes, and is very emotionless/straight faced... I found the dichotomy of her playing opposite of a character that is essentially "Reina with a gun" to be amazing... because Chisato behaves nothing like Reina lol Almost 200 wins! I can respect that for sure lol This was one of my favorite anime of the year... if not my favorite anime of the year... I was actually coming up on 500 completed anime when this was airing, and I actually asked my friends that I was watching this with if we could order what we were watching so that this would be my 500th lol Was worth it... I'm so glad you spoke about the emotional voice acting from Takina's seiyuu in ep12 - that scream when she couldn't kill Yoshi-san was blood curdling... it made me break into sobs...

The only reason I can think that people would unsubscribe from you after your Call of the Night video would be that a lot of folks see it as problematic because Nazuna is quite a bit older than the 14 yr old Kou... and then also the OL (Kiyosumi) that he massages... people were very put off by all of that, unfortunately... they threw out the baby with the bathwater. Also, Lycoris Recoil's eyecatchers (the ad break squences) are easily some of the best I've ever seen!
