In looking at it ...I would be curious to know if it's possible that Hans has found a weakness in a few players preparation .. as well as the possibility that he is/was at peak performance ... Elon of course has some interesting ideas ... But with a delay .. I would imagine that such a suggestion would be implausible (also the possibility that since Magnus is chasing ELO ratings that his play has changed ... However I really am not much of a chess player ..more of a mild spectator of KZbin chess coverage ..)

I think he didn't go for the draw because he was trailing by 3-2. Draw means he loses by 3.5-2.5 as it was the final game. So, draw was not an option for him in this match.

this is a chess variant called chess960 or fischer random chess. it’s a variant bobby fischer came up with - you basically shuffle the starting squares of the minor pieces (with a few simple rules). his goal was mostly to get outside of standard openings and theory entirely so chess would be less predictable and more interesting, and it’s called 960 because there are 960 possible starting setups
